I had a civic sport touring for 10 months, I really enjoyed the car. I only got rid of it because I really wanted the integra Type S and got one for MSRP and came into a little money, otherwise I’d still be content with it, it actually had some bells and whistles absent on my Type S.

100%. Love the 10th gen. My Acura TLX lease was up and I wanted to look at a hybrid. I kept trying to talk myself into the Touring model of the Accord. I just couldn't get over the exterior look. You have to like walking up to your car or looking back at it. I just couldn't get there with the Accord Touring unless it was a specific color at the just the right angle. Any other model, color or angle..... If I get a hybrid, it'll be a Camry XSE or Civic Touring. (car is just a daily driver for me. kids are grown and trips are in the wife's SUV)

Same. And I've had a total of 4x Honda Accords since 2011. The 11th gen is a good car, don't get me wrong, but versus the 10th gen? It's a step backwards. I can't even go for the Sport because it's so much slower than my car. Besides gas mileage, there is nothing about it that I want. Honestly, I would sacrifice 6-7mpg if they released a hybrid with equal performance to my 2.0T.

They are making all of the new generation Honda’s quite hideous. So bad that it seems to be on purpose, as it would actually take effort to make a modern vehicle look like it was made at least a decade ago. The worst one is the HR-V IMO. The CR-V is the only one that has improved in terms of exterior looks lately. I expect they will demolish that as soon as they can.

The Accord's exterior styling sucks. It just looks boring. Plus two of the biggest selling points for prevous generation (manual transmission and the K20C 2.0t) are dead. Not to mention, since the 2016 model year, the Civic has been a pretty large car. It's big enough to comfortably fit 4 6 foot+ aldults, plenty for most buyers. Combine that with the better styling and lower price of the Civic, and I bet a lot of potential Accord buyers are opting for the Civic instead. Especially now that the Civic hybrid is available. I'm a 2018 Accord owner, but if I were to buy another Honda now, it would certainly be a Civic. The Accord really doesn't have much going for it now, and the differences are more cons than pros unless you really need the massive rear seat space the Accord offers.

I bought a 2018 Civic Hatchback, LX, 6 speed, 1.5 turbo brand new in Nov of 2017, just turned over 100k miles last week - it's a great car! I stealth camp in my hatchback when I go to Florida on vacation - there's that much room in my Civic Hatchback. I slide the passenger front seat forward and put in a wooden tray behind that seat then I can completely sleep in the back. It's fun to drive and I get 40 mpg at 70 mph on the highway, with tons of room. I'll probably keep it for a long time. Some guy on You Tube made of vid of his Civic with the 1.5 turbo showing he has 700k miles on his engine, no major problems! And guess what? I bought my Civic for $19, 200 from the dealer, out the door! I like it better than my old Z cars from the 1970's, in many ways, so look for a 10th gen Civic - great cars.

I really miss having a hatchback (I'm honestly not sure why sedans even exist. Even if you prefer the sedan aesthetic, a liftback can fulfill the look while greatly improving space and practicality). Honda isn’t helping the Accord by cutting the trims with any sportiness. The Civic is also now larger than the Accord from 15 years ago. It's a very niche buyer who wants a sedan as large as the new Accord. The TLX sells almost entirely on aesthetics, so it reaches a point where everyone who wants one already has one. It's a full-size on the outside and a compact on the inside. I like every vehicle Honda makes, but it's hard to recommend their sedans other than the ITS or a low trim Civic. Maybe the Prelude will breathe some life back in next year.

An acquired taste and for the better part of 20 years now, the top trim level Accords while not performance cars, always punched above their weight in that realm. No, they wernt Sportscar fast, but they had above avg performance. This gen... Very little performance to be had. Sure it has an impressive hybrid system, but it misses the mark in terms of what the Accords recent history had become. Roll that into higher interest rates, and MSRPs and well... Not a shock that it's not selling.

The look of the Accord interior and exterior is fine. The dealership side stickers are a no-stater for me. I will not pay for over MSRP on any car. I owned a 2006 Accord V6, and it was great! Fast forward to today: 1) No V6, with a turbo 1.5 mini sized engine = yuk. 2) All sorts of costly items I do not want, from auto-braking to auto stop/start are now the norm. 3) Windshields cost more to replace and take-up more of your time. 4) CVT transmissions replaced 6 sp automatics which are repairable. 5) I always expect to see the monitor to retract into the dash, considering it is just a stick on look -- buy not too bad in this case. ;) 6) Higher prices for more plastic on modern cars. The local dealerships wanting an extra $7K in add-on crap on a CVT is beyond the pale. I will either keep what I have now, buy a fine used real car, and not a plastic fantastic, or buy new from Subaru. Yea, I know here comes the CVT again, and the motorboat or lawnmower sounds :)) I am done with Honda and Toyota. Let their greed be their end. I will say the new Camry Hybrid is a fair priced car, but the dealerships are adding on, and on. No matter which new car you go for, you are venturing into the great unknown for repairability, and longevity. Loads of tech to make it go means a load of cash come repair time.

My mom last yearwanted to trade in her 2018 Nissan Altima. She knows i love Honda and Acura and asked me about the Accord. I told no, not good, and steered her towards the new Toyota Camry. My reasoning came down to styling and reliability. The Altima has a CVT transmission that was starting to show signs of it going out. I told my mom that the new Accord in her price range also has a CVT, and im not very fond of that type of transmission. The 1.5t in the Accord is also problematic with premature failure. The camry has a traditional automatic 6 speed transmission. Compared to a CVT, a traditional transmission is much more reliable. The engine in the Camry is a 2.5 litre N/A engine that is extremely reliable and puts out decent power. Lastly, the camry just looks much better. Accord is just ugly. My mom got a decently equipped Camry with plenty of options like lane keep assist, dynamic cruise control, and Apple Car Play/ Android Auto. She also got a great deal. $21k after trade in and only paying $280.00 a month.

It is baffling that Honda would make these ridiculous excuses regarding Honda moving to EV's. The state of Californian and the President has already passed policies regarding all vehicles going EV by 2035. Therefore, all car makers are moving in that direction and are not affected by car sales so lets get to the bottom line. Acura TXL - Honda unintentionally became in competition with Acura by putting so many premium products in the last generation Accord. Primarily the 2.0 turbo option (which was a fast engine), sunroof, leather seats, and technology in the inside. The Accord looked stunning especially after the refresh and styling became more aggressive. You basically got all the goodies that the TLX had at a much cheaper rate. Therefore the Accord was a better option than the TLX. Also, the TLX horsepower was decent but nothing exciting. Honda Accord - Because Accord outsold the TXL by a stretch because of direct competition, Honda had to stop that by downgrading the Accord by removing a lot of the premium products and coming up with a less aggressive design. The outcome......they made a hideous looking vehicle meanwhile the Camry design got better, and the K5, and Sonota made better looking vehicles. Honda basically sabotaged theirselves. The Accord can make a comeback by edning this generation or coming up with a massive refresh immediately. Acura Integra - The integra is an iconic car that so many people loved! The design looks nothing like the old school Integra which turned people off. Its basically another civic with a different design. The Integra doesn’t compete with the Supra or Z at all! The interior looks the same as the Civic so why would buyer pay more for the Integra. The Integra should've had its own DNA and real performance! Honda needs to start firing!

The accord isn't selling because its very MID. It feels way more civic than it does accord. The Civic hybrid is essentially going to butcher the accord and I bet money it won't be for sale in a year. The Acura's don't sell because the preowned one's are like 10 grand cheaper YoY. Saving 10 grand on a one year old 10k mile acura is great value. Acura's are over priced when for that money you can get a lexus. Anyone who wants real sportyness that acura advertises, they go buy a BMW. For perspective, I have had honda dealers BEG for my 2.0T and were willing to pay me almost what I paid for it a year and a half ago, just to get me to buy a discounted EXL hybrid. I would need 1000$ in cash to trade up from a 2022 to a 2024. That is sad. The fact that 290k camry's sold in 2023, is INSANE. Those are the great numbers, and that isn't even the new 2025 model. Camry is better value in every metric.
