That front suspension with the double lower ball joints reminds me of a type R, when I replaced driver side suspension parts due to minor accident.

That’s exactly what I though although type r isn’t double wishbone like this which threw me off somewhat here. Also the single sided fork is gonna take getting used to 😅

Those marks on the bolts are Honda's factory quality procedure for correct torque verification 👍

I seen these at my dealer. Touring and Elite models. They are actually nice looking vehicle and that is where it stops. It’s a GM through and through as you said with a Honda badge. Wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I got a chance to sit in one ( though not start) and the interior is distinctly American. It's large, wide,and with good leg room owing to GM's ultium battery designs selling point to be easily swapped and modular aided by push suspension outward. But even in the elite trim the interior stark, fabrics remind me of ascent pillows; nice to look at, unconformable as an actual pillow for long, and the plastic don't have the matte honda feel and look. It's ok just like a Ford Taurus, but I have a feeling I know why honda stopped with the GM partnership since it was suppose to be GM works supplies battery + R&D while honda spearhead manufacturing,materials,and design..considering it's a honda with full GM design I think somewhere in corporate things weren't agreed upon

Thanks for the on the lift walk around and info. Imo, not Honda's finest moment. My thought, Honda do better. Seems, the 2.0 Hybrid still best choice in a new Honda. At least in my observation.

I was just as annoyed when I found out it was a GM rebrand but I think they’re just doing this to test out the waters with their customer base in terms of EV adoption. This is most likely a one off. I read somewhere that Honda is going to be spending a fortune on an EV plant here in the US, so it won’t be long before they develop a native EV platform with all of Honda’s engineering sensibilities.

Question: 2015 Honda Civic, 37K miles Today after second use of vehicle, the "Tighten Gas Cap" message and warning came on. Gas Cap was tight. I cleaned, reinstalled and retighten. Any words of advise? What to check? Could the problem be caused from driving in heavy rain the previous day? Thank you, Ron - Massachusetts I will listen for an answer in future videos.

If I were going EV it'd be TESLA. If I had to choose between the Prologue or its GM equivalent, (the Blazer) I'd go with the Blazer. It looks better, IMO, on both the interior & exterior. Its not the first time GM & Honda work together. The first generation Honda Passport was a re-badged Isuzu Rodeo; I believe at the time GM was involved and had a controlling share of Isuzu. Also, if you remember the Saturn Vue was essentially a Honda Pilot; J series engine and all!

I'm not an EV person, so the Prologue is off my list. I would consider a Hybrid or Plug-In Hybrid, but I'll probably go with Toyota because of its better reputation and longer warranty, probably a Prius or RAV4 Hybrid. The new Prius is actually nice.

I’d chose blazer in this case too. You will get much better service at their dealers when an issue comes up no doubt.

I’d like to see what global connect looks like on your end of things. As a GM service advisor, I can select the Prologue or ZDX in SI but it won’t let me see any information or documents.

I don’t think the 1.5t is getting canned any time soon, although yes a hybrid option will be available.

I think this vehicle is purely a stop gap measure hence the name Prologue. Some auto manufacturers are still unsure about a EV only future. So why waste all your resources when things might not pan out. Nice looking vehicle though.

FOMO on Hondas part although as we can see EV sales are tanking across the country. Not only is this a bad call although I also think Honda has missed the boat 😅

From my personal experience, I leased a Silverado, it was by far the worst new car I’ve ever owned. All the finishing touches were falling sort, headlight bezel kept popping off, trans had some nasty kicks, I personally would not buy this. Only time will truely tell.

We had one with a tail light not working another with the onstar dead right off the truck, does anyone inspect them after assembly?

I did a PDI on one a couple weeks ago. I admit, I had to get used to some of the functions because most of the controls are GM sourced, and the shifter is similar to a Mercedes-Benz shifter. Other than that, the vehicle isn't bad, I'm just not into EV's though. Also, on a side note, summer is coming up, so are you ready to diagnose more HVAC problems, in particular, the 2016-21 Civics with either or both condenser and compressor shaft seal leaks?😡😂 I live in SoCal, so A/C problems will definitely be arriving.

Yeah I was actually surprised when driving ours shortly. I thought I would hate it more than I would. I still don’t like the idea although nothing we can do about it. Ac issues are already here for us 😅

@BCautosolutions Us too. Yesterday, I had to replace the condenser on a 2019 Accord. There was no physical damage, but it did have small leaks that leaked out the refrigerant overtime. Luckily, the compressor wasn't leaking, so I just replaced the condenser only. It seems like ever since Honda switched over to the new R1234yf refrigerant in 2016, the HVAC systems have had so many problems. Hopefully, these newer redesigned models will fair better.

As much as a Honda as the 1994-2002 Honda Passport was. And the Acura ZDX is as much as an Acura as the 1996-1999 Acura SLX was.

Yes there is at the moment, due to a tailgate harness issue that we don’t have parts for at the moment…sucks cuz I work in Sales for Honda and had two customers ready to purchase but we have no eta on parts to fix the issue rn

These mexicans at the GM assembly plant seems dont care about the center cap alignment with the tire valve. Tires looks untouched from the factory so I guess nobody messed that up after production.

Yes Honda had EV fomo although they shoulda just waited until their tech was ready which from the rumors I hear is actually a huge step in the right direction.

Goes to show Honda building inferior cars, but using GM parts mostly. Yet selling at high price because " its a Honda". Ahhh, I DON'T think so !! I project once people realize this it won't sell very well & will be discontinued

Many years ago, Honda did the same with their Passport. It was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo. It was a massive failure. Why? GM electronics in the Isuzu lineup. Nothing good can come of this, history has showed GM lacks quality. So sad….💩💩

@@BCautosolutions In similar fashion, GM purchased 3.0 V6 Honda engines for the Saturn Vue. GM decided to use the GM Dexcool and put it in those Honda engines. They began to fail and Honda threatened to withhold selling those engines. We all know what happened to Saturn 🗑️ 💩

The quality across all brands have improved. They all use the same part suppliers in seems. Honda has a great design overall. I wonder if GM designed the body or just supplied the parts?

It’s actually Honda Designed using GM’s Platform and parts. Away from the naysayers it is actually good. However it’s a one and done. The same with the Acura ZDX

@@nicholasc2238they supplies the platform, and parts sit inside and you can see buttons similar to other GM products namely the Blazer EV this is based on. Even the door chime is GM

Rebadged G.M. . No way I'm out. Get ready for electrical recalls. Next you are going to tell me honda and stellantis are going to build vehicles. I know research and development is very expensive . At least Mazda has teamed up with Toyota.
