It is slightly more expensive than the outgoing model but does the upgrade justify the price change? Also, does the bike still have the raw character that is usually associated with the first generation model? Time to find out the answer to these questions.

Wondering if this bike would be suitable for someone who is 95% commuter 5% fun still at moderate speed?

It may, but if you haven't bought it yet, wait for at least a year before buying new models. Being a beta tester for new products is always very tricky.

It is fairly decent. I just found the footpeg position to be such that my knees were bent more than I would like. (I am 6-feet tall)
