The only "bad" thing about buying this for $60K is that you can buy a 2015 with 50K miles on it for $30K, and it will look, feel, drive, turn, stop, and be as safe EXACTLY the same level as this one. 🙂

Not true. The car might be due for a redesign but they're refined over the years for a better drive etc...things like the exhaust, fuel effiency, interior materials, engine, user interface, etc all get refined. There are notable differences though may not be visible. Same with the infiniti q50, not changed in yrs but has been refined , so a 2015 isn't the exact same as a 2023.

@@TheLaw_11this is true. Same with thr 4Runners, Lexus IS series, etc. But the Q50 got rid of their 3.7 NA VQ engine for a 3.0T, I would have wanted a new one if they still offered an Naturally aspirated version

2024 is similar to 2019 but 2015 ride refinement will be worse not to mention rubber bushings and suspension ages over 10 year period.

For 60k you can buy a lightly used RCF, idk why anyone would pay 60k for this, great car used but not worth 60k

But you won’t know how the other owner treated it..I’d spend an extra 30 grand for piece of mind starting with a fresh clean slate

The 8speed is only available in RWD IS models. The AWD still get the 6Speed with the hump near the gas pedal. Another great review!

The 8 speed paired with AWD is enticing but when you realize the car has been out for near 10 years it'd suck to buy this and a new RC generation gets released soon after. However some cars have gone a long way past 10 years without a refresh unfortunately.

the 8 speed transmission is available only on RC 300 and RC 350 rear wheel drive models. RC 300 and RC 350 awd models all come with 6 speed transmission. for model year 2024.

This car is underrated imo. I saw a reviewer do a 0-to 60 twice he got 5.5 out of this car. Which is decent and is half a second quicker than what Lexus is advertised at 6 seconds. Not many cars like this out there left with a straight up v6 plus its AWD makes a perfect commuter if you are single with no kids. Sure it’s not the most thrilling car and it’s aging but this car will last forever and won’t break down on you. Plus, compared to its German rivals you will pay less on maintenance. IMO the car looks much better than the IS cause it’s a coupe. Sports cars are 2 doors not 4… so if you are a Lexus fan what’s the next level from this car that’s a coupe? The LC which is almost twice as much. So for what it is and the value, this car isn’t bad at all and am shocked how much criticism it gets.

100% agree. Not a fan of the 4 doors trying to be sporty. 2 doors are sporty.

The window sticker has the wrong info that’s crazy 4:45 it clearly says 8 speed AWD but online it says only 2024 rwd will be 8 speed . Did you go through all the gears and see that there where 8 on the dash ? Maybe it’s a unicorn 🦄 😅

The Lexus website STILL says this on the specs for RC 350 and 350 F Sport... "Eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift automatic transmission (RWD) Six-speed automatic transmission (AWD)" So, NO Eight-speed transmission for AWD! I see the window sticker says "eight-speed" but I think it's a lie! 😠

No. This model is only available in 6spd. Call any Lexus dealer.

RWD model is 8 speed. AWD remains with the 6 speed.

Is it a ZF 8 speed or developed in home like Hyundai 8 speed?

Aisin is an (semi-)independent transmission and auto parts company but it is part of the Toyota Group. Aisin also makes transmission for other manufacturers like Volvo.

My guy, you filmed a review thinking they changed the 6 speed to the 8 speed and were talking during the driving portion as if it were a huge improvement.. but you were still driving the 6 speed the whole time 😂

Maybe it was a RWD since there's obviously an issue with the window sticker being inaccurate....

it wasn't RWD it said AWD at the back of the car.

@@davidcmatsonjudging by the wheel gap and AWD badge, it’s highly unlikely it was RWD. No, it isn’t his fault the dealer printed out a paper with the wrong info but still doesn’t change the fact that it’s AWD with 6 speed auto still. Also, a couple taps on the arrows on the steering wheel will show exactly how many gears the RC has.

I can't believe this old ass car is still on sale. As far as I know the 6-speed is the only trans with AWD. Even still the car needs a redesign. There is absolutely no point to buy a "new" one.

No such thing as a RC 350 AWD F Sport 8spd transmission lol. I just bought a 2024 and it’s only available in 6spd.. and yes the sticker is wrong.🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️Funny part is you’re shifting a 6spd thinking it’s 8 lmaoo. Count the gears next time 🤭

6spd, 8spd, AWD or RWD ....this is still a good car for it's purpose. A smaller than usual luxury coupe that does not claim 0-60 numbers. Ben does a lot of car reviews in a very short time frame so he's bound to fumble now & then so be nice when he does.

It's not a performance car... it's a luxury coupe. Whatever $30k cars you're referring to have vastly inferior material and build quality, sound dampening, and ride quality. Only a dumb kid with entry level taste in cars cares solely about speed.

@@wuming9151I can, but a $750 car note is for financially illiterate idiots. Spending $60k on something that likely isn’t a daily is dumb unless you’re a clearing well north of $500k a year.
