There is a Mobile 1 0W-20 for Trucks and SUV in Walmart. Did you consider using that vs the Advanced Fuel Economy version?

The manual requires the oil meets the following spec: ILSAC GF-6A. The advanced fuel economy version meets this spec. I just looked at the truck and suv oil, meets the same spec. Should be fine to use if you want to

Did you by any chance open your oil filter after the 1K break in period? I’m curious how much metal was found.

I did not, but the oil looked surprisingly clean

You mentioned changing the oil more regularly than what Lexus recommends. Is there any reason or motivation for Lexus to recommend every 10K miles instead of 5K miles? I would think their engineers would know what's best for their car unless there is some ulterior motive of theirs that you have a theory on.

10k mile oil changes are a great selling feature (less maintenance cost), but that’s a long time to run the oil. There are plenty of engine tear down videos on cars that have long oil change intervals on KZfaq if you want to learn more. It’s pretty cheap/easy to do it at 5k mile intervals.

Toyota 90915-YZZF2 Oil Filter Same like 90915-YZZN1 and 90915-10009?
@SuburbanRanchАй бұрын
The N1 replaces the F2. 90915-10009 is an old Toyota number and was replaced by 90915-YZZN1
