GH; if I was to really cross shop the two it would be to compare the 7 seat 350 TX w 7 seat plat hyb max GH. But really for a family hauler; can’t justify 10-20k price difference for almost the same vehicle- and then also require 91 octane. If the goal is reliability and lower running costs; Toyota wins over Lexus.

I hate that the 7-seater TX is only available in the all-gas model! I need 7-seats to qualify for Uber and Lyft's XL platform but I need that hybrid version to save gas! :(

I purchased a base TX 350 because, for my preferences, it made zero sense to get a top trim Grand Highlander or Telluride in the mid-50s when I could get a Lexus for virtually the same price. On the flip side, I’d never consider a 500h because it’s way too expensive for what you get, especially when the GH exists.

Ur paying for longevity...so when u buy a toyota or Lexus product... u know it will last atleast 2 generations.. thts why u pay the price u do

I was looking at them both and felt that the Pilot was better for the price. Toyota in my area were being pricks and wanted $4k in markups and wouldn't budge.

@@be4unvme I was able to get my TX at MSRP, and I agree, I would’ve refused to pay a markup, especially since they still make good profit at MSRP (and even below MSRP they make money)

Same here.... I got close to 10% off MSRP on a tx350 premium and the discount brought the purchase price to about 5k over a similarly equipped GH (which was selling at sticker). It was a no brainer to go with the Lexus.

Tengo ambos autos y puedo decir que el Lexus tx500h es más lujoso, se siente un poco más suave y con mayor potencia, Sin embargo la trompa del GH me gusta más. De hecho el GH por precio calidad vendría a ser más popular , Cualquiera de las dos opciones son sin duda una gran elección, No puedes equivocarte al elegirlo.

I would go with the Grand Highlander, but two factors that give me pause are A) Toyota Highlanders are being stolen at an alarming rate and B) the wait time to get this model and trim are unacceptable in Ontario.

Lexus theft rates are also not any better; if anything the worst in luxury category even compare to Toyotas.
