I bought the G4, upgrading from CX because I wanted brighter colors, better processor, bigger TV size, and better overall gaming experience. I'm finally going through my large video game library. What better way to enjoy the games I bought that on an amazing TV with beautiful colors. UPDATE 6/14/24 - The G4 is beautiful. Got it Wall mounted and have full sonos sound system. The video game I have been playing is Witcher 3 on PS5. It looks remarkable. A few takeaways for me: 1. The new processor compared to the CX is much faster, fewer delays. 2. The brighter colors are extremely obvious going from CX to G4. My eyeballs can't get enough of it. 3. I use to think TV size didn't matter but going from 55 to 65 makes a big difference. I can see more on the screen than before. It makes playing video games easier. 4. Video games, Witcher 3, plays seamlessly, great fps, colors, can't wait to play other PS5 games

I buy the g4. But why is the sound quality soo bad on standard? Is crazy

Does the C4 of same size also have the packaging which transforms into a temp tv stand?

Obviously, this is better, but how does it stack up compared to the 2016 LG OLEDs? Mine is still working perfectly fine, but these ones seem leagues better. Is it worth an upgrade after 8 years if my current 65” LG OLED C6 has no issues?

Defintily if want a more impactful hdr experience than go for it. a g3 would be a huge improvement and its cheaper and you could go bigger

No, you’re good with the G3, it’s a great TV. Unless you want a bigger tv? For me who has a Samsung QLED from 2018, the G4 will be a HUGE UPGRADE for me! 😭 but I’m considering the 77 S90C.

lol, the G3 is almost the same exact tv as the G4, its minor adjustments. Id still buy the G3 now over the g4 given the current prices. You can get a 55" g3 for $1500 (now thats with a wall mount not a tv stand) or the G4 55" for around $2600 (includes a tv stand but no wall mount). This TV really is designed to be wall mounted and looks darn good when does on the wall. Is the G4 worth $1100 more then the G3, absolutely not. Keep your G3 and if wait a few years for improvements. You may wind up buying one of these 4,000 nits sets once more content is mastered in 4k nits. I think it's safe to say that OLED will not be able to do 4,000 nits ever. I have a LG B7 55" and it can do 768 nits in a 10% window according to Ratings, and thats a 7 year old OLED TV. The C3, according to Ratings, can do approx 815 nits in a 10% window. Thats 47 nit difference in 7 years. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound impressive to me. Am not knocking LG, have all LG OLED, but there really isn't much room for improvement. And watching a 7 year old LG OLED is damn impressive.

IDK. The G4 picture seems a lot better to me. Colors pop and are punchy on the 4 too. Went from the 3 to the 4. Only because I was still in my return window and the 4 went on sale. Happy I made the switch.
