Since we have been watching your shows for at least 5 years we decided to take a trip to Thailand. We were there for 6 weeks and I cooked in our little hotel room. The market was just downstairs from the hotel and I was making soups and stir frys, The sellers quickly realised what I was trying to do and made up packages of spices and vegetables for me. When we got home to AUstralia I couldnt stop thinking about our trip and the beautiful people. My husband had learnt to count in Thai and I learnt a few words. I started looking online for rentals in Chiang Mai. Then I came up with the idea to move to Thailand. It took over a year to organise it. We have lived here now for 6 months and everyday I feel blessed and am so happy. I love the markets , the people , I am learning the language and even my Lazada driver teaches me words. Thank You Marion so much you changed our lives. I cook everything from your channel. I am very happy for you and your family that you are so successful. You deserve it all. We love you and mama Noi. bless you. Ka

Can I just say that the thing that drew me to your channel on my first viewing was your open, friendly, down-to-earth manner and how much I felt at home watching your show. I immediately subscribed. I adore your cooking and OMG, that smile!!! Even though you are a busy, successful business woman, creator, wife and mom, you made an old woman from the mountains of Western North Carolina feel like she's just popped in for a coffee and chat. And you do this every.single.time. Well, done you. Role model for us all. Much love to you, your family and your whole team. 💕

I’m so excited for you! What I absolutely love about your whole creative process is that you have brought family into it. The kids, your sweet Mom and husband. I would also bet that the teams you have around you are also treated like family. You deserve every success you have coming your way. Years of hard dedicated work and now you can call the shots how you want. Thank you for being a very nice role model for women. You keep family at your side and include them. As you get bigger and more famous world wide, you haven’t become a private part. Well done Marion! You have kept what works for you by staying true to you. You give your parents a big high five for not raising a dough head.

This lady is truly amazing. I have so much love for Marion and her cooking skills, but homegirl is literally a flippin' unit. She is doing A LOT more than cooking, she is a businesswoman and holy moly such an amazing one. She stays true to her herself and longer content is fantastic. You can chill and watch it, put it in the background or put it on when you sleep. Much love to everyone on her teams too. This can only be achieved by the right people on your side.

yes, to longer videos! your channel, along with Pailin's Kitchen and Maangchi, are my favorite 'Asian Culinary Translation' channels. not only do you explain how to make a dish, you also take time to teach people who are new to those ingredients, or combinations of flavors, or even just how to serve and eat the finished dish. my family is originally from the Caribbean, so i remain in awe of how many of the same ingredients are used in our two cuisines, but in such drastically different ways. your mom reminds me of both my grandmothers, with the 'nothing wasted' approach to cooking.

I also watch Maangchi and Pailin regularly, along with Marion. And an Indian guy dont get his name now, starts with R..... wait: Ranveer. They all have the same approach to cooking and eating that i so much appreciate and love. It's all about culture, traditions, happiness, sensorial experience, family, social, respect, no rush, enjoyment.

I’m really happy to hear that. Don’t be suckered into all these social media algorithm. I find myself giving lesser and lesser appreciation for those reels and shorts. But in reality, those take just as much effort. And I don’t think that gives justice to the people who are involved in putting out content. To your point of sharing more of your life and experience, the idea of “from farm to table” is really what I want to see. Not polished videos. Not pretty staging or perfect kitchen. How meals are planned. How to take advantage of seasonal produce. Ingredients substitution - one recipe, several twists “same same but different”. I can’t wait to see that pivot! Thank you, Marion!!

OMG Dear Marion you are my inspiration. I first saw you in 2010 from MasterChef Australia. I used to live then in Saudi Arabia. Me and my family loved you, your creativity and competent style. You were like a millstone to achieve. And your attitude to set goals and then working hard to achieve them and which you made so easy for people to learn and to achieve and with that positive approach and a smile on face just like yours, what a beautiful dream to come true. Then three years back I saw you on your KZfaq channel. I felt so much like home and watching you achieved so much made me so happy for you. We said yes we knew that you will do amazing in your life. And just like what I needed today was this inspirational video of yours. I am at the lowest these days in my life and your words just pulled me out of some dark place. You says that we might have taken some blessed days as for granted and I agree . My spirit just got high again in very positive way. Thanks a lot and wish you the best in your life. Your every word is so much of an education. yes it takes decades and i cant agree for less. Bless you dear always. You will be my inspiration always always. Plus you are lucky to have such beautiful mother in your life. I can see from where you inherited such a beautiful spirit. Bless her.

I started cooking asian food from scratch during COVID lockdown because of your videos, Marion! I watched so many of your videos to pass the time that I finally got brave enough to mask up and head to the local asian grocery store with my list I dutifully wrote down ("things Marian says I need but I don't have...palm sugar, dark soy, lemongrass, Shiaoxing wine, galangal, etc...") I also started growing Thai basil in my herb garden and using cilantro root since I grow it for Mexican cooking! It started off tame but before I knew it I was putting hot peppers in my stir fry's! And it WAS your longer-form videos that helped me understand the techniques necessary to successfully make asian dishes I also don't love the short ones, though they do get attention. Now I rely on your recipes above all others. THANK YOU for everything you do. I miss your meal kits, though, since we can no longer get them in the U.S. They were a serious "go to" for me. I actually loved bringing them on vacations where I would be cooking because they made "travel dinners" easy. Maybe there is a way to partner with independent grocery stores in the U.S.? I am not sure how all of that works, but I know we still have small, independent grocery stores that sell specialty products over here. I would think there would be a way to tap into that distribution chain. I hope so! Again, THANK YOU.

Hi Marion It’s Lori from Pittsburgh! HOORAY for slower, longer content!! 🎉 I have been a follower for a while now, and while I loved your recipes, I truthfully didn’t love the “rushed” format that you were recently doing. Your old videos were so relaxing, informative and inviting. The editing was spectacular! The rushed format wasn’t as joyful or relaxing to me and I didn’t get the vibe that you liked it either. Take the path least followed-knowing it’s your path. ❤️ Still waiting for you to make Thai pizza!🌺

I found you just before COVID and during what felt like interminable lockdowns and crises you kept me interested and motivated. Now that the pandemic is over, here in Chiang Mai we are beset by months on end of pollution that no one is doing anything to clear, so we have to stay indoors with air purifiers and medication. Which means we are in another kind of lockdown, but your smile, your joy and the deliciousness that you bring means so much. Whatever you do I will be watching. Thank you so very much.

I'll still be here to watch. For me, cooking is more about learning things than just another bang-boom-band recipe, put together. I.e., I've become kinda obsessed with braising recipes since I watched Ethan Chlebowski's braising 101. I recently made chef John's italian braised beef and potatoes, but with oxtail. Glen and friends cooking: pasta a la genovese: absolutely amazing! Here's a recipe for you to give it your twist: today, I'll be making fishcakes. Finely minced (cod, in this case) and shallots, marinated in a bit of soy sauce. Some fresh tarragon! Maybe rather gochujang than any pepper. Just a hint of sugar and potato dumpling powder instead of egg to bind things. Here in Germany, the best brand is Pfanni. In the US it's brand name is Panni. (Pan in german is "Pfanne".) The chives have started to grow again. Think I'm gonna use some. Unlike in the english cuisine, I don't wanna go heavy on that potato stuff. Just to keep things together. Now comes you: did I forget something important? While in Queensland: what should be the farmers or shops to go to? It's so sad, that the fishmonger in Caboolture gave up. They where amazing! Let's support our local shops! Let's spread the word! Your subscribers come from all around the globe. Here are some examples: for best burgers and incredible onion rings:: "The Cow" in Edmond, Oklahoma, US. Organic food: Rellinger Hofladen, Rellingen, Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Asian Grocery stores: Asia Markt, Friedrich Ebert Str.2, Pinneberg, Schleswig Holstein, Germany. F-mart, 530 Colorado St, Lawrence, KS, US. Maybe someone knows someone. To spread the word.

The thing that happened that really helped is: once you were back in QLD and not having all the Thai things, you adapted for ingredients, and I would love to see more of that when you're in Australia. It also means that when you're in Thailand, I want to see how a Thai dish is actually made with the full recipe lists available. There's a best of both worlds that you now have that is evident in your videos already, so I'm very happy to keep watching and subscribing! Thank you, Marion! (And Tim and Mama Noi and babies and Dax and your teams in Australia and Thailand)!

YES TO CONTEXT AND STORYTELLING ❤ That’s exactly how you stood out from the rest, how we got hooked, and how we just fell in love with the amazing work that you do. And when any shadow of doubt gets to you, know this is the impact you have made: Friends: hey this is so delicious! How did you make this? Me: Marion Grasby ❤❤❤

I’m so, so, so, so thrilled to hear you’re going back to the longer episodes and educational content! The shorts/quicks have a time and place, but your content stands out because of the density and richness and length. Thank you!!!

Marion, thank you for this video. It's exciting to see how you create. I just love your channel and all the content. I love the family and environmental context - your kids growing up, your cute mom. Especially when I'm not having a good day, I watch your videos over and over. It just makes me happy. Keep doing whatever inspires you - it's your authentic self.

One of the first things that made me start watching Marion's content is her sharing the recipes for her sauces for those that didn't have access to it so they can make it, a lot of content creators don't share recipes they've developed themselves, Marion is truly a genuine person.
