@@daimos6686 It would just be for this new “nba cup” so you would still have east & west rivalry in the finals and in the allstar game (if they ever take that seriously) but the cup would be more interesting if it makes you think it’s the 2 best teams at the time & not just the best from each conference since we already got the playoffs for that

The in season tournament was good last year. At first, i wasn't a big fan of it at first, but i think it can get better each year.

It'll get better once they expand to 32 teams. They can do 8 groups of 4 and have the two advance. Will eliminate some of the janky tiebreakers theyre forced to have now.

They just need to improve the clarity of this tourney rather than randomly having it in between regular season games at seemingly random nights. Like if they are going to not just have a time for tourney games, then they should at least have these games on 1 specific day of the week so the audience knows say Fridays are tourney game days or something

@@MrE_I think last year they hosted tournament games only on thursdays and I THINK Tuesday (I forgot if they did games on Tuesday or not) They just didn’t announce that information but it’s in there

@@d4v1do nah, as cool as that would be, the NBA owners aren't going to want to ruin their investments by watching them lose to a gleague squad. Which is also why you don't see NBA teams go against Eurobasket teams more often or other European club teams The MLS pulled out of the US version of the FA cup as well

Hearing the groups announced like this really shows you how much better the Western Conference is, man. Groups B & C in the West are going to be utter bloodbaths, meanwhile every group in the East is mid af (except maybe A, and even that is a 3-team group).

The inseason tournament was fun to watch last season. It will get better once they expand to 32 teams. Theyll be able to have an even 8 groups of 4 with top two advancing. Will eliminate the janky tiebreakers they have to have now.
