While I don't think there is any chance that clungan goes #1, the reason why clingan is above edey is because he has the mobility and speed to play in the NBA. Not that edey isn't the better scorer at the moment, but I think he might have a harder time playing in the NBA than clingan.

I don’t understand the big difference from Clingan to Edey other than age. I think Clingan is a slightly better defender and gets more blocks but Edey is challenged a lot less at the rim and a lot of times he’ll just give up open looks to not pick up ticky tacky fouls, everyone on Purdue does that. He’s a way better offensive player, so I’m not sure how they are saying Clingan could go 1 (would be just about the worst number 1 ever with how the game is played now) vs Edey end of 1st round. I’m not seeing that

It's how he fits into current nba play styles. Personally I love his dominance in college, but then again there aren't many centers who can challenge him there. There are in the NBA and they can also stretch out the defence by taking outside shots

@@alimfuzzy I understand that, but I feel Clingan is about the same player, a little higher defensive upside but not as good on offense and rebounding. So if there are concerns about how the game is more position-less today and a big guy fitting in, I don’t see how that applies for Edey and not Clingan

Whoever is getting edey as a late 1st round or 2nd round. They are getting a bargain. He's shown he can develop and who better to mold than someone who can blockout the skinnier centres. Huge potential.

DJ Burns could get a 2-way contract. Adama Sanogo has the same physical assets, was MVP of the Final Four, was instrumental in helping Uconn win the title last year, 😊and didn't get drafted. He's got a 2-way with the Chicago Bulls. CJ is believed to have a more promising future in football.

Very strange observations,,, Castle's not a lottery pick, not good enough shooter, needs another year! Next yr he's a top 10 with improved shooting! Clingan still needs another year to also improve his shooting around the basket! Next yr he'd be #1! Edey is the total pkge, the #1, and shows what happens when you come back an extra year! Burns maybe a second-round pick because he needs to get in better shape!

I feel like the NBA teams would prefer that “other year” to be spent developing at the NBA level rather than at the college level, even if that means they need to wait a year until the player is ready to be a starter.

I think Clingan should leave BECAUSE he needs to improve. Not going to play against enough size in college and the sooner he faces better comp and sheds bad habits the better. I do worry about Castle's shooting. That can be worked on in college. He isn't Morant, prime D-Rose or Prime westbrook athletic where he can compensate for lack of shooting.

@@sportgeek2028and scouts and Gm’s are worth quite often. Just cause they may get picked as high as scouts say doesn’t mean they will turn out good. Darko😂
