Just a brief overview of my ninja 650 after 2 weeks of riding. Intended on making a longer video but the weather did not play nice. Take it easy on my, I'm new to this vlogging thing lol.

Congratulations on your first bike. I'm 37 y/o and planning to buy my first bike, this one is at the top of my list and in hopes of purchasing one as a birthday gift for myself. I live in Puerto Rico so the bike is more expensive ($11.995 USD)

The ninja 650 and even the ninja 400 are great bikes. I have over 40 years riding and even raced GPZs and early ninjas. These are plenty for the majority of riders and commuters and are comfortable.

I got mine on the 23rd. I've been riding for a while, the 650 is what I set on 7 years ago and I love them! The olive color of the 2024 is what sold me to upgrade from my 2014. Get that first oil changed before you do too many more miles. Ride safe, dude!

Excellent video bruh ! I'm 62 and had my Ninja 650 since 2018 and absolutely love it! I plan on getting both a Honda CBR650 & Triumph Daytona 660 this summer to add to my stable. I'll have 2, 3, and 4 cyl bikes in the garage then... all which have different personalities and characteristics. One thing I ask you is Please, Please be careful out in that jungle of drivers especially in your state. I have 2 daughters in Fl and when I visit.. they do all the driving LOL ! Stay safe and enjoy your Ninja 🦾

I dig your channel, man. I'm not new to bikes but took about 10 years off when I started having kids. I just got back into it and I have the exact same bike as you. I sold my 2009 Ninja 650 in 2014 and missed it every day. Basic riding skills came back quickly... low speed stuff and emergency braking still isn't there for me. Ride safe, man. Awesome bike!

Nice video, nice bike. Im a new rider as well, one year older than you, had my training on a Z650 last year and tested both the Z900 and the 650 to get a feeling what to get as my first. I am leaning towards the Z900 because of the smoothness, the sound, the power but my budget is limited and the 650 looks better than the Z900 (not a huge fan of naked bikes) imo. Video's like this do help me choosing, although it still is complicated. Eventually it will be my budget limitation that will decide what to get so i expect to get a 650 as well as it is several 1000's cheaper. Keep on posting and ride safely!

And oh....since it such a beauty without scratches it might be wise to get some side/frame sliders as well.... i know i would if i get a totally new one :D
@rich0756 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice. I was really looking at the Z650 and had even thought of the Z900 as my next bike in a few years. I want to enjoy this while I have it and learn all I can before moving up.
@jg71736 ай бұрын
These bikes are like iPhones; they keep their value like crazy. You can sell this bike with maybe 5 or 10% loss, provided the milage aint extremely high and it is in a decent condition. I myself am in favor of buying all my things new from the store, but this 650 in used condition is, even the 2020 model, being sold in the range of 7000 ~ 8000. Its almost the price of a new bike! It makes moving up much easier, which is also another reason for me not to get the powerful Z900 right away, but to get used to driving on a bit more forgiving, beginners-friendly engine. @@rich075

It stuck between this and the Honda cbr 650r. They’re around the same price and the Honda has this new E clutch feature where you don’t have to hold it down to shift up or down the bike does that for you. I’m torn man lol 😂

100 miles for the tires, 600 for the engine itself. But after 250 miles you can increase the RPMs.

New tires good ones, stock suck, then do some trackdays to learn to ride
@rich0755 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice. Serious question, how is riding on a track at high speeds going to help me learn to ride when most of my riding, about 95%, is in congested city traffic? Would it not make more sense to ride in the environment I'll commute in? Or make more sense to practice slower speed drills using cones? What's your view?
@everss025 ай бұрын
well riding in the city is boring and dangerous, a track is safe and fun for one. Every org has 3-4 levels so you'll be in a group of equal riders. You can do both but know they are completely different.@@rich075
