What is the part numbers for the 100lb front springs for a 24 XC 650? also is there a heavy front track spring? I got the rear traps already. Thank you

Are there any noteworthy changes from 2023 to 2024 on the xcr’s.? I just picked up a ‘23 xcr 850 that a guy backed out in because it didn’t show up until March. Keep the great videos coming!

Easiest way to measure fts with the rubber collarand the front ski shocks seem like I can only get 9.25 of preload before collar starts to run out of thread?

What is the easiest way to measure the front track shock with the rubber hairs covering the spring? The front ski shocks go to 9.25 of preload per the manual then the treads run out and the collar gets hard to turn, is that normal?

video on sunday will go over thus BUT we do not measure full spring length. we talk preload from when the spring is just about free, you measure from top of collar to a fix location. So that would be ZERO preload. then depending on how much preload we want that number will INCREASE. So FTS we run 1/8-1/4 inch of preload. so from spring being (loose or free) then add 1/8-1/4 inch. Same with front ski springs. On an XCR we recommend running the collar down until you cannot go anymore. Thats what we consider max preload BUT if you were running a spring that we did not want max preload we measure the same way as i described the FTS oreload. I am unsure why polaris measure full spring length. It REALLY confuses people just like you are right now. I hope that helps

Thanks Jesse! The gearing must be different compared to the VR1? I have a 21 VR1 and you you let off throttle it "free wheels" compared to the 22 XCR has mad resistance so minimal breaking needed?

Two other enhancements on XCR ( I think) 1- Beefed Up Jack shaft 2- metal bearings where skis connected ( others have rubber bushings)

@JESSEJAMES322 for starters the last time that I was on a sled was 18 years ago and sled have changed alot from that time. To answer your question I like fresh groomed trail and I like to ride in fresh powder and like like fast cornering trails.

What if any are the changes between a 2023 XCR 650 and 2024 XCR 650? Just put a deposit down on a 2023 for a good price - somewhat of a newbie to the sport and will be my first new sled purchase so any and all info will be appreciated.

@@JESSEJAMES322 Thx Jesse - as I mentioned, I am newish to the sport and will be purchasing my first sled (most likely) this season. For the past decade or so have been borrowing a family friends sled when I have been in town. I still have a 2023 XCR 128 being held on deposit for a few hundred bucks above msrp ($15,700 out the door with option of $1,300 5-year extended warranty). I just came across a sale on FB marketplace for a 2023 XC for $9,950 with 742 miles - I spoke with the seller on the phone and he is a very honest person with good seller reviews and upfront that the machine had an issue with a fouling plug last season and the piston has been replaced under warranty. It is priced to sell and the cost being $6,000 less got me thinking, being newish to the sport, or at least never owning my own sled, is spending another $6,000+ on an XCR warranted. Do you think an XC is a solid enough sled for someone with enough experience and comfortability riding, and with an interest of riding aggressive sometimes as a good first sled? Seems like the only real difference is the shocks - I'm about 185 without gear and am looking for a fun sled with great performance - will not be racing or trying to ump any roadways. This is a big purchase for me and want to make sure I'm making the right one. Thx in advance - much appreciated!

Hey Jesse can you and Bruce suggest a gear change for more top end and fuel efficiency. Much appreciated.
@JESSEJAMES322
@JESSEJAMES322 10 ай бұрын
youre going to be pretty tapped out on top end here. best suggestion would be to get a clutch kit by Velocity Sled Performance. The sleds wont have enough power to gear up. they will not get into over drive and you will loose MPH
