@@JESSEJAMES322 thanks for the reply. What clearance, in thousandths, do you look for between the shaft and the sheave?

So you don't completely screw up your camber when adjusting those control arm bushings I bought two packages of the steel washers so I can tighten them up without moving the control arms too much👍👍👍

Is it normal to have a little side to side play in the front track shock? The shock and bushings are new but I was surprised to see it move after I installed all new parts. 2017 XCR 800 if that matters. Thanks!

it is normal believe it or not. even brand new sleds have some side to side slop.

@@JESSEJAMES322 i do my own dirtbike suspension work and figure the shocks are all basically very similar in principle. I do still have to take my shock in to local dealer for the nitrogen.

Jesse how about a video on what you carry in your bags on the sled tools mainly. Also I have never heard you guys mention ice scratchers. What are your thoughts on them brand style etc. Got the tv set up in the garage now to watch while tinkering on the sled

i do not as ive never needed too. Bruce sees some sleds taht come in from time to time that needed them done but not urgent. BUT its something to do in the off season just as preventative maintenence

Enjoy watching your videos. But for a regular hard-working guy like me, I have a hard enough time getting a new sled once every 5 or 6 years, let alone every year. I snowchecked my first polaris ever this year an xc650 137. What is really irritating me about the whole thing is that I built my sled, got it ordered and confirmed then got told I couldn't get it in the shadow gray and black like I wanted. It came red and gray. What good does it do to have snowcheck and options if you can't get it. And people like you who do what you do for a living i.e. the videos and stuff seem to get whatever you want when you want it. I'm not jealous or mad about what happened to me and I'm sure I'm not the only one this happened to. But why is that?
@JESSEJAMES322
@JESSEJAMES322 8 ай бұрын
Hey Jim congrats on the new sleds. So anything I have a certain way I build them they way. I change panels and colors and wrap sleds. The sleds from factory come with a certain color scheme and that’s all that you can do unless you change the panels im sorry you feel singled out but that’s not the case
@jimberglin1613
@jimberglin1613 8 ай бұрын
@JESSEJAMES322 Jesse, thanks for replying. I don't feel singled out. My real question was, why does polaris offer options to build a sled the way a consumer wants it, if you can't get it the way you built it. That doesn't make any sense. No need to reply back.
@JESSEJAMES322
@JESSEJAMES322 8 ай бұрын
that doesnt really make sense. if you snowchecked a sled then it should come as you snowchecked it UNLESS your deealer messed up

Another STOP RIDE, IMPORTANT SAFETY STOP RIDE NOTICE July 13, 2023 Polaris Industries Inc. is issuing a Stop Ride notice to affected owners of Model Year 2022-2024 MATRYX snowmobiles equipped with PATRIOT 650 and PATRIOT 850 engines because of an increased risk of primary (drive) clutch failure due to post cracking. The failure can cause the clutch or clutch components to be separated from the unit, posing a potential injury hazard to consumers.
