No one has ever accused Brian Shaw of being dumb. And he certainly isn't dumb. He's clearly showing us all that he is quite quickly learning from his previous Strongest Man on Earth competitions and improving the format and the competition year on year. Drawing from the experience of some veteran top level strongmen to improve his competition is not only smart, but also unites the strongman community. I always expected Brian to exceed World Strongest Man, to create a better competition and to give the strongman fans a more accurate picture of who the Strongest Man on Earth is. But I didn't expect him to do it quite this fast. Hats off to you Brian!

I'm happy that uncle Loz is finally coming to the Shaw classic this year. Him and Terry on the commentary table would be an absolutely lethal combo

The most exciting things ng about the Olympic weightlifting format in the deadlift is the chance to see competitors pick a weight to try and jump ahead of the guy in front of them. Awesome format.

Great people to have on the table and cant wait for SMOE with this cast of commentators!

Thor is definelty the favorite to win the Deadlift. However, he might have jumped of the 505 ship for this show, he has mentioned he rather do it equipped and he is focusing on winning the whole thing. However he is still going for the raw record wich is 465KG by Jerry. So it will be likely he goes like this: 420KG for the opener (The one he has to make); 455KG for the win (The one he should make); 470KG for the record (the one he want to make).

I love that Loz is actually involved here in SMOE Brian. Wow the best show in strongman with the best and most knowledgeable in the business along with Nick Best.

Something I'd love to see is a comp where there's an opportunity to gain more point by winning by more weight. So if you win an event and have max points, you could gain an extra point for breaking a world record and more points for just pushing it further. Or say on a deadlift 1 guy hits 502kg and wins, he could gain an extra point by going for 512kg

As I see it Brian is the smartest and most committeed, most serious of all strongman I have seen. Also modest and humble, very easy to like him.

I hope this happens for each event! Fantastic hearing the strategy and experience.

Its nice to see everyone on the same page, focusing on getting the most out of all the athletes. There have been too many events over the years that put some at an advantage and others at a clear disadvantage. Whats best for the athletes and the sport, is to see the biggest numbers possible being put up.

Brian seem to remember 2019 asc wrong, thor pulled 1046 as his 2nd lift. His 3rd attempt was 1100

My niece is a Kazmaier, so IMO, no one can beat Thor! Love the sport guys! Let's keep it going! Fans are everywhere but youtube presence is important. I know Rogue will always support. They're great people. I too support 💯! This sport won't ever go away but internet presence is a must. Love you all!❤❤❤

As a fan, I concur that the battle between the guys is waayy more exciting than just seeing the record.

Very early predictions (based off of performances at the Arnold where they had suits): No one lifts over 1000 raw besides Thor and Mitch will be second with Bobby third

I always wanted to see Jerry pull at max power, but like he and Brian stated the format for the lifts would hose em. Oleksii Novikov can pull a bunch too people forget

I love raw lifting events because it is closest to the way humans have been lifting for centuries. The closer it gets to see heavy, lift heavy the more I usually like it.

Breaking a Deadlift record, or any record, on the first event of the first day is very risky.

Raw deadlifts are far more better. Thanks Shaw to bring this competition. Also, he was so much right with what he did in 2016. I would have done the same.
