Just took delivery of a Prospector 15 tandem in carbon fusion last December. I really love the canoe and at 35 pounds it's very easy for my 71 yrs to handle (especially compared to our 75 pound Grumman). Squeezing another 5 pounds from the Prospector 15 with the new materials is very impressive, enough of a difference to make this an attractive upgrade for me to consider in the future. 👍

I'm 63 and took delivery in September of a 16 foot Prospector (kevlar fusion) in a combi configuration, as I mostly solo. I love the carbon kevlar trim. All three seats are removable, and I took the foot brace option for the solo position. Very light. What a great boat.

How do the side pods handle different seat heights? If one orders a Prospector 15 or WildFIRE for instance and wants the seat(s) mounted up high for kneeling - is that something that can be done?

Do you offer the aluminum gunwales in natural silver color instead of the black coated color? I own two canoes with aluminum gunwales, one with natural color and one with black. The black is very hot in the sun and the natural is no problem at all.

We do the Aluminum Gunwales in the one colour. If you want a trim that is less temperature sensitive, our Carbon Kevlar Trim is the way to go!

We have the carbon gunwales and they have never been hot to the touch. Just FYI.
