Love my 2015 SR5, 114,000 miles, 1 battery, spark plugs changed, can't ask for a better truck. Reliable , comfortable, safe. Will hold to it until new changes comes up.

Hope with all the EPA friendly powertrains available on many other other Toyota vehicles, 4Runner continue to have no BS powertrain for those who still enjoy N/A engines, port+direct injection, timing chains, traditional automatic transmissions (no dct / cvt), non electric 4x4 system, etc.. Please remember there are buyers like myself (and family) care about "Quality, durability & reliability" than fancy features. As seen on my videos I love to give personal touches to my 4Runners as well. Also very true "4Runner is all about fueling active lifestyles and hitting the road towards next incredible destination."

This is the last great vehicle/tank you can buy. Sure it's thirsty but it saves you money in the long run by not having to spend thousands on repairs fixing blown turbo charged micro engines with direct fuel injection, damage from failing electrical water pumps and loads of other crap that barely survives the lease term, if that

Hello, there! Thanks for reaching out. While the '24 4Runner does not have a power liftgate for the trunk itself, it comes standard with a power rear liftgate window with auto up/down and jam protection. This rear glass raises and lowers with the push of a button, making it easier to grab your gear from the cargo area. 😀 👍

For all of those wanting a new 4Runner, please read this: All new models need to adapt to current emissions standards which makes their engines less reliable given their small blocks and turbo charged nature, on top of that very complex transmissions with 10 speeds to keep the “efficiency” high. At the end of the day new vehicles are significantly less reliable and much more complex to repair, higher purchase/maintenance/repair prices plus lower durability makes any update to this 4Runner a step back.

I would not change the 4runner until the landcruiser and mini landcruiser comes out for a few years, and change it like in 2026, or even up to 2028. If it is selling solidly, why change it? This way you have a couple year for landcruiser to come out, and you can bring 4cylinder and maybe TRD PRO V6 6th generation model at a later date. 2026 Emissions standards will force 4cylinder models, I would delay this and keep selling this model until it slows down. Long live the fifth gen v6 model. I think the New 4runner should be HIGHE TRIM than the current landcruiser 250, and it should directly go against the Big bronco and Wrangler. This is how I would market the next 4runner. Bring two engines, 4cylinder, 4cylinder hybrid and V6 TRDPRO 6th Generation.

I think you should keep the design till 2026 or 28, and let the 4runner V6 stay the same until Landcruiser has been out a few years, and come out with a big bang after several years. If it sell well, why change it. It still sells solidly, and gives a bit of time for Landcruiser to debut for few years before the new model comes, also give more time to flex the Lexus GX550.

Landcruiser is wider and much more expensive. Base LC costs as much as top line 4Runner. I do feel the next gen 4Runner will shrink in size.

it is supply and demand issue, when there is more cars prices drop. But since the GR is in demand, your going to see ultra rare cars you have to pay more . I talked to owner of shelby GT350, he paid 20g over. If people would refuse to pay this, prices would drop. Ford and Dodge have been doing this for decades for regular cars, and nobobdy say anything. The mustang I wanted to buy in 2008, they were selling for 46g, brought the price down to 31.

This is just too long for an upgrade. Waiting too long, might just buy a Suby which for 90% of the time outperforms the Runner. I love the 4Runner but its antiquated.

Love it as well, but drives like an 80’s van. Wanted to get hyped to buy one, but every time I test drive one, it majorly lacks power with the 5-speed. Would be a different story if it was this thirsty, but with a v8 and some performance.

What's new in 2024 other than the colors?!? Toyota added at least one tiny or not so tiny new feature every year. I'm disapointed this year might offer absolutely nothing new.

They just refuse to update this thing. Such a shame. Nice vehicle but it generally looks the same as it did 15 years ago so I’m sadly going to another make.

How come Toyota never put the 6 speed transmission and the 3.5 L V6 that’s found in the Tacoma into the 4Runner? I feel like it would improve the fuel economy.
