👋 Here is the all new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser! The iconic Land Cruiser is back for the 2024 model year and it's a brand new SUV! Now the Land Cruiser is back to its roots as an off road focused rugged SUV that can go anywhere and take you on an overland adventure! This 2024 Land Cruiser was the base model called the 1958 and will feature the full time 4X4, locking center and rear differentials, cloth seats and the iForce Max hybrid 2.4L I4 turbo hybrid engine with 326 HP and 465 TQ. The new 2024 Land Cruiser 1958 looks pretty cool with a rugged design and a boxy look. This does have a lot of plastic for the bumpers and facia so you won't have expensive paint repairs after off roading. The interior has a retro looking cloth seat and then a lot of plastic. For $62,700 I will say the cheap door panels are pretty lame. Solid hard plastic with no padding for the arm rest. Incredibly poor attention to detail to have such cheap feeling panels in a $60k+ vehicle. Other then the cheap plastic, the screens look nice and the drive is very comfortable. The 8 speed transmission delivers smooth shifts and power delivery and the iForce Max engine has plenty of power! Great vehicle to drive and would be a blast off road! Of course you can opt for the Land Cruiser grade for leather interior options and much better use of materials for not much more money. So at least they offer nice option. The new 2025 4Runner however, has a third row seat option and non hybrid option for less money. So it will be interesting why people buy the Land cruiser of a better equipped lower price 2025 4Runner, or why not spend barley anything more and get the new Lexus GX. So we'll see. But cool new off road SUV to check out finished in Meteor Shower!

That’s a tough one! The 1st edition looks pretty sweet. Our dealer had one for a day and it looked cool. I do like the V6 in the GX. So it would depend if I was truly off roading or using it more on the road

The hybrid adds a lot of power tho and takes the stress off the engine. So I'd assume it's pretty solid

The engine was built from the ground up to be turbocharged, and because they have increased the thermal efficiency of the engine, it gets more energy from less fuel delivered to the cylinder which intern causes it to be a low stress engine . Toyota/Yamaha make the best engines in the world. Only they could have produced a turbo charge engine that is low stress. Plus, they’ve been doing turbocharging in Europe and other countries for the past 50 years. They also use commercial grade turbo chargers, not consumer grade like everybody else.

Who said they were sold out? It’s still a new vehicle that’s slowly making its way to dealers. Some may have more than others.

What happened to the starting price of $55,000? It’s so funny how these dealerships are tacking so many add-ons no one is going to pay $62,000 for a base Land Cruiser if they are in their right mind. Dealerships here in eastern Ohio have five Land Cruisers all 1958 additions and they’re selling for $57,000 and they’re willing to knock off a few grand. They don’t have any of the stupid add-ons because they don’t go for that crap.

You realize that’s a model with zero options right? Even with taxes and all, it would cost more. But add a few options and the price will increase. That shouldn’t be a surprise. So with a few options at just over $60K, that’s with no markups.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed $62,000 for a base model that starts at $55,000 is too much dealership add-ons. Look at the tires I don’t want those tires on. I want to choose my own tires. It’s just greedy dealerships.

Well it's not greedy since they have added items to the vehicle. The tires and running boards cost money. If you don't want these specific add ons, then don't buy this vehicle. But the mark ups with nothing in return is when greed is accurate. Adding accessories that some buyers would want isn't greedy.

Yeah I don't see the point for this trim. Might as well get the new 2025 4runner or just get the nice trim Land Cruiser with no dealer installed options
