Are you getting the indigo interior? I like it a lot. But I like all the interiors of this car. I’m thinking about getting one myself, but haven’t decided on interior color. I think I’m just going to say I want a white exterior, and take whatever interior is available.

@@katiecannon8186 Yeah, I'm getting the indigo interior with a cloud blue exterior. Seems like the available interior options for the crystal white exterior seem to be Indigo, Breeze, Pine and Mist, but it is dependent on the trim level (Core/Plus/Ultra). And of course it might vary in different markets.

@@n0b0d1r Congratulations. Thats a nice combination. I’m in America and am very confused about the trim levels that will be offered here. But I’m only interested in whatever the base model is going to be. I just don’t drive that much anymore. So whatever gets me to the grocery store is fine - lol.

It's just the camera, you almost don't see it with your eyes :)

It's the same ir on your remote to tv. You don't se it. Try with your mobile camera and you'll se it. Perfect way to test your batteries.

We went yesterday to our local Volvo dealer to see the car for the first time. We ordered a Core model last September. Overall we really like the EX30. Only thing esspecially my wife was unhappy about are the blue elements. These parts don‘t fit to Volvos slick and cool design.

I found the blue accents and the absence of rear seat pockets in the indigo trim displeasing, though maintaining any other trim will prove challenging. I anticipate being able to wrap the door inserts in 3M 2080 film, but despite that, I'm still opting for the indigo trim.

I liked the interior, but it's a matter of taste.😁 The AWD does a great job, u still have a little bit of wheelspin. But it's because of the massive power.🚀

For me, it’s been so predictable though. I have my “summer range” and “winter range” and that’s about it. The lovely thing about the EX30 is the range is really good, so the 30-35% decrease won’t affect my daily routine at all.

@@edrivesweden Hi, how was the battery preheated when the software update 1.2 that includes battery preheating is not out yet in the test drive vehicles, or at least was not last week? The test drive cars are on an update 1.1 which does not even include battery preheating yet. That should be included in update 1.2 which will also feature some other important changes that will affect the braking system and electricity consumption (and thus, range). No cars will be given to customers until the 1.2 update is out. Source: Volvo importer in Finland. Or did Sweden already receive that update? This is also why the EX30 might not be used in the big "Winter Car 2024" review from Finnish technology media TM(Tekniikan Maailma), since as they put it "It is absolutely pointless to review a car that is essentially different from the car that is handed over to customers." and they might not have time to wait for the update to drop, since they need to test all the included cars in similar conditions in order for the review to actually make sense. More information about the software update: "Software version 1.1 is in the cars available for test drives at dealers, but no cars will be handed over to any customer until version 1.2 has been updated.” … ”We already knew that the update was essential, as it would bring, for example, battery preheating to the car for fast charging. It soon became clear that the update would also affect electricity consumption and the operation of the heating device." Well they are driving 120km/h in winter conditions with snow on the road and minus 8 degrees celsius. Driving at those speeds will always hinder the range. I wouldn’t stress too much about the range estimates when looking at test drive videos where people drive the car in winter conditions and test the acceleration while possibly driving quite uneconomically in general, since the range shown is probably an estimate based on how the car has been driven recently, like in cars in general. Also, the software update that brings battery preheating and electricity consumption improvements had not been released for test drive cars last week at least in Finland, which is right next to Sweden. So, yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much, but it's important to keep in mind that the WLTP range estimates are not promises, but estimates which can be affected quite a bit by driving style and weather conditions.

Like @n0b0d1r says, "high speed" at -8 degrees in snow. Worst conditions for an EV. :)

To elaborate a bit more why the WLTP estimates might be a bit different from the actual range: The WLTP estimates are calculated with driving cycles that simulate city driving AND highway driving, and the tests are always conducted with the air conditioning turned off. So basically, it is an optimal "combined driving" estimate. For example, the new Renault Scenic EV's long range option shows 625km as the WLTP estimate, but 370km as a highway estimate. Higher speed equals more air resistance, which requires more energy to get the car moving. In city driving, the battery can regenerate itself quite a bit when using the regenerative braking. It's all pretty interesting stuff, I recommend reading more about how electric vehicles and range estimates work. I've barely started learning.
