Racing often leads to innovations in road bikes and cars. Advancements in bio-fuel that are good for racing may one day be advancements for passenger vehicles as well. The good is down the road, hopefully.

Well MotoGP is now almost the most even playing field now as third tier teams can fight for title. But i do feel aero needs to go and ride height should stay. 1000cc engine are perfect but the 800cc class would bring a reset To all teams.

One argument is that aero has always been part of MotoGP and bikes. Are you saying outlaw downforce? Wings? I think it gets difficult to write rules about that unless you force spec fairings. We're seeing wings on production bikes, so there's a street application, even if it's for aesthetic purposes. I would like to see if ride height devices can work on the street. We have bikes that lower themselves so you can reach the ground easier. Why not for launches?

GPS data is a massive move - teams at every level will be both jumping for joy and crying like a baby.

yamaha M1 2021 is a pretty good bike in terms of minimal aero and smooth cornering. It only needs an engine. Yamaha should go back to find gold. New changes are good for motogp Good content. Subscribed.

So, only 10cc betwen Moto2 and MotoGP. And biofuel can be less powerfull.

85 cc, four cylinder vs triple, spec engine vs developed race engine. There's going to be a big gap.

A whole bunch of brands all competitive makes for a much better series. Sorry I love Ducati but nobody else can compete that is boring

On one hand it's definitely virtue signaling, but on the other it should help technology develop for both bio fuels and sustainable engines. I'd say 90% virtue signaling 10% technology 😂

I'm honestly ok with most of these changes. The aero makes sense except for managing the back wash. I'm honestly surprised that this will all be for 2027 and not 2026 and not the year earlier. I also wouldn't be surprised to see some updates to the regulations very soon after 2027 for a push to hybrid where honesty most of the road relevancy should go. If they want the brands to return to the sport they need to be pushing for what will be used 10 years in the future.

the road is going electric, I guess. But they tried that with Moto-E and no one is interested. Hybrid isn't a bad idea. There's the Kawasaki hybrid, but it may never catch on with bikes. We'll see.
