It's important to note that the vinegar needs to be on the top rack of the dishwasher, and not poured in the area where detergent typically goes. Vinegar's acidity will slowly erode parts of the dishwasher, like the gaskets or lining, if it's run through the same area as the detergent

I turned 40 and even less energy, I didn't think it was possible. I was considering buying a rinse aid for my dishwasher. Going to use vinegar tonight! I have also bought dishwasher powder detergent instead of tablets. It lasts a long time.

Whether u cook one cup dal or 3 cups, it takes same amt of time, fuel & efforts. So normally I cook 3 times of the dal required to use in sambar one day, rasam the next day and perhaps dal tadka or dal roti the next. I use lil less water to cook so they dnt spoil easily due to moisture. Separate them into batches n store. I can challenge my frnds that my rasam wl be ready in 5 minutes when they wl still be planning. I chop garlic n stire in olive oil, as a preservative. They stay longer. potatoes too can be cooked with skin n stored upto a wk.

Many cleaning liquids contain harsh chemicals that are harmful to health. Use vinegar to clean wherever possible and steam mops or cleaners instead.

You can dilute and use. Or to be on a safer side, instead of putting in rinse section, put it directly in a small cup on the rack when starting dishwasher...this way you can control, how many times a week you have to clean with diluted vinegar. I use it off and on, not regularly.
