Everyday Habits For A Clean Home - Tips For Keeping Home Clean
Wake up Routine:
• Make bed - demon dance on bed
• Clean the mirror with the squeeze and clean sink with hands and wash hands
• Wipe the sink in kids bathroom with a cleaning towel. Wash the cloth in sink, and dry back in bathroom, so its available next time
• Tackle a laundry each day. Pick clothes from bathroom and start the laundry. Use laundry bag for delicate clothes. Leave machine door open to ventilate and wipe rubber ring to avoid mould. Schedule washing machine on timer, so that when you wake up or when you are back from work, washed clothes are ready to be hanged.
• Open windows to ventilate
Cooking Routine:
• Have a bin nearby. Over the door hanging bins. Empty every night. Slide the scraps or peel on top directly
• Cover food while cooking to avoid splatter. Use lids or splatter screen. Prevent the area being dirty so you do not have to clean
• Clean the dishes as you make the breakfast, lunch or dinner. Clean as you go method.
• Put everything back in its place - through wrapping up roti station example
• Keep counters clutter free to make wiping them daily a 10 second job
• Clean, clear and dry the sink once dishes are washed
• Clean the stove
• Clean the dinning table. No food in bedrooms
• Vacuum the high traffic areas. Kitchen, lobby, home entrance
Afternoon Routine while watching KZfaq and kids at school:
• 10 mins declutter/house pickup twice a day
• Never leave a room empty handed
• Handle your paper clutter immediately
• Fold laundry - take help from kids
• Open and sort mails. Handle your paper clutter immediately. Trash, File or Action.
Night-time Kitchen Cleaning Routine:
• Full kitchen clean after kids go to bed
• Mopping high traffic areas
• Take out the trash
• Straighten up the house - 10 mins
• Start robot or vacuum
• Green sponge or drain covers to cover bathroom drains
• Keep home organized to reduce daily cleaning time
• Have less stuff - less you have, lesser you have to clean

hi diya. how do u wash kitchen towels everyday. putting them separately for machine becomes a very small load and washing them by hand in sink will not make them 100% clean.. so wt do u suggest?

I use a bowl and empty it twice to collect kitchen scraps That was I don’t have to get the plastic bag and better for environment. I also get my own bag for grocery shopping Better for environment again

Don't be so judgemental! Only one who has been a stay-at-home parent with 2 kids full time can say, how challenging it is to do all this with kids around. Don't forget that there homemade freshly cooked food and kids education and personal health to take care of!
