The 21 points: - Straight spine - Position head by tilting, not slouching - Minimize 90 degree angles (joints) - Soften fingers - Give hands something to do - Show the origin of hands - Near equal ratio of subjects bodies - Collarbones at an angle - Shift body weight - Create gaps (against walls, parts of body) - One hand higher than other (avoid mirroring) - Symmetrical posing - Three point check (collarbones, face, eyes) - Placement of subjects must be realistic - Pose the eyes (iris, whites) - Invisible plane check (eyes should be closest to camera) - Nose x factor - Subject emphasis (lighting, focus) - Specific posing instructions - Inject feeling

I would totally buy the program, I watched Creative live when I could and learned so much just watching bits and pieces. LeoneClub, you are right! Explaining photography, which is a VISUAL art, with no photos to back it up is useless. We have to visually see it in our mind and since we all think different, it could be misleading. Tangible photos please!!!

For me, I can't understand any part of the face being out of focus. Both eyes, etc., should be in focus. This shoot wide open and having one eye in focus, the other eye, nose, and ears being out of focus is silly. But what do I know? I've only been shooting portraits since 1964.

Personally, I never shoot with too wide of an f. stop. Nothing less than 5.6, or f.8 Other ways exist to blur the background if necessary. I can't see having any part of the head out of focus.

Great system for posing, terrible photos. They all look like they've been shot on a cellphone by someone who wasn't actually looking at the screen. The group shot could have saved it but it was poorly framed, the angle is off, and could easily have been symmetrical but isn't.
