Currently running this vocal chain: Neumann TLM 103 Going Into my ART TPS2 Tube Pre-Amp going through ART Pro Channel 2 for EQ and Subtle Compression And that goes out of my Warm Audio WA76 for makeup and light compression. This then goes into my UAD Apollo Twin X via Line-In

Thanks for all the information, you've changed the way I look at recording chains forever. However, since I can't afford all the equipment I find all the VSTs, so I go with my AT4033a into Slate digital classic tubes then all those 1073 and CL1B vsts...and i seen a huge difference. Thanks man

What audio interface do they use? Do they use the audio interface in bypass? Or do they use the audio interface using line level input? And if so, what is the gain set to on the interface?

Avalon 737 seems like a better pre amp for rap style vocals . I have the neve 1073 spx and I rap myself and I feel like the vocals is too thick when rapping on the neve pre amp or is it just me ?

@@priiintplayzz6219 you have to check your song on every speaker like cars, tv, earphone, headphone, but maybe cut the low, boost high on your preamp, idk.. Avalon is amazing but Neve is better i think 😂

You confused me when you said “the actual neve 1073 is around $4000” I see it for about $2000 the 1073 spx” is that the 1073 you refer to in all your videos which all these artist use ? If not which are you referring to can you send me the link ?
