Your audio sounds way lower and thinner than any other video on YT about these interfaces... just FYI. I'm using an audiophile DAC w/ a Sparkos Pro opamp to listen to this, so my opinion is valid. Yet your setup looks way more sophisticated than others' ... Just level match any MKBHD audio to start, and you'll be fine! ;)

Hey Archie, two questions: What is the height of the NTK/K2 power supply? And a stupid one: Is K2 a good purchase in 2024?

I'm sick of seeing videos like this without any mention of Cubase. I've used all the major DAWs-not just tried them, but really learned them. I've read the manuals, learned many shortcuts, and produced in all of them, including Reaper. I realized Cubase is the top DAW. I believe many DAWs are playing catch up. Cubase has some of the best-sounding built-in plugins, hands down. And features that you won't find in other DAWs unless you buy plugins for them. For example, Cubase has a built-in vocal alignment tool that works just as well as Synchro Arts' plugin, which costs almost $400. And the list goes on and on. Cubase also has the best ARA integration. Yeah, you don't want to get into a conversation about MIDI, Cubase rules.

I got a great idea for you, bring in a rapper and showcase what this mic can do handling rap vocals, there are thousands of people waiting to see if it works with rappers and you could be the first to do it and get all the views and revenue from it!!! BAM!!! WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ON THAT ONE?

Chosing a microphone is not a one size fits all type of thing. It's what sounds good on your voice and Chosing gear isn't either, it depends on what "sound" you're going for. A $500 mic that fits your voice will sound better than a $3,000 mic that doesn't match your voice tone. The frequency response may accentuate harsh frequencies in certain voices. Also certain styles are good with certain microphones like heavy metal sounds good with darker microphones like a SM7B or pop and rap music sound better with brighter microphones like Sony c800 style. The Slate modeling mic is a good option to determine what you like on your voice.

I love the trio 6’s these are my forever monitors. Well worth the one time investment. Never know what you are missing if you can’t hear it. The room will have a huge impact on what you hear and how you hear it. I went with the argosy stands that have the built in isolation pad.

The Lewitt ray _cannot_ magically make distant actors sound good. All it does is turn the gain up/down based on physical distance.
@archiebeatz
@archiebeatz 7 күн бұрын
Yeah, you are correct. Also, with some noise reduction to assist with distance perception. Which is pretty clever. Thank you for commenting your thoughts.

Hello Archie. Great video, very informative. I would have liked to hear an example of your deep baritone voice morphed into the young girl's voice to really push the plug-in to the limit and hear how well, or not, the AI software would handle it.
