We always had colored papers when I was a kid. I saw white TP only in public restrooms. People's homes I visited always had colored papers to match the bathroom decor.

I remember floral prints in the late 70s and early 80s. It was said, not to use with septic systems as the dyes can mess it up. We had city sewer and ALWAYS used white while I was growing up in the 50s and 60s.

Colored prints and scented toilet paper was common in the late 1960's-1970's. I wish that were still an option.

The refrigerator doesn't have hinges on both sides, yes have to take em off and put em on the other side, almost all of them have this option. But it doesn't have a set on both sides

i have a peach colored toilet paper but i don’t think it’s dyed like that. i used to have dog-patterned toilet paper from kleenex!

The soap bar shown in the video looks like Fels Naptha soap, which is sold in the laundry soap aisle. My mom taught me about it when I was growing up, and she used it on shirt collars and stains. She'd wet the stained area, rub the Fels Naptha bar on, scrub with a small brush, then throw into the washing machine. It makes sense to me that you can grate it to wash a load of clothes. I know Walmart carries it, along with washing soda and borax, at decent prices.

I make laundry soap by mixing borax, washing soap and a grated bar of. Dr Bronner's bar soap. I use it for white clothes and like it for them but use Woolite for darks so they won't fade.

I remember the jingle for toilet paper from the 60s. 🎼There’s pink and 🎵blue and primrose too 🎶. I didn’t know when I was a child what primrose was (lemon). I do know they were all pastels in Australia, not really bright colours as this video shows. We didn’t even have black either - not freely available in any case.

Did you know that recycled paper doesn't dissolve very well, it got so much glue holding the recycled fibres together it impossible to break down.. Fact! I've done the experiment at my work place.. I couldn't believe it. Nothing wrong with dyed paper as long as its environmentally freindly.

wiping tears or eyes in general, means your eye lashes end up with a thin bit of glue. a real pain in the eyes.

A gynecologist told me the dye in TP can give you a UTI. I have used white TP ever since. I just wish I had a bidet toilet, you will get cleaner after a #2 and even a much less risk of a UTI.

I use a small amount of liquid laundry soap for dishes...cuts down buying two different soaps, imo. Just be careful, the liquid soap can pour out really fast if your not careful.
