Hi Chris another great video I love the long ones, my spod pattern is pretty much the same as yours I don't understand why anyone would put that much bait out especially if he hadn't even had a fish yet. By the way love the goatee it suits you I've had mine for more years than I care to remember only mines grey now. first time ive seen early morning spoders .; they obviously havent really got a clue about bite times , and fish paterns etc . they may as well cut up £10 notes and spod that out . well done on finaly bagging one from Merrington !

on some fisheries, the sound of a spod hitting the water can attract the fish though, but it seems those guys are going well overboard with it, especially if they're not catching.

Spod soup zigs are good on there trust me 😎

Some people think the more bait you put in, bigger the fish you'll catch 😂😂 i have never spodded first thing, usually around the 11, 12 clock time for me, few spoms on each rod. Rig change with fresh bait in the evening with a solid bag on and use the catty. Am alway to drunk to spod in the evening 😂😂 jk jk.

Agree about the spodding mate, used to fish a lake many years ago and bit time was early morning to 10 am, but if someone set up near you in the morning, and simply cast a lead out, not even a spod, it would be the kiss of death and you may as well pack up! Spodding at bite time makes me cringe!! Please dont do it folks!!!

Depends mate about the spodding if i know fish have been there in the night if i have heard them jumping but not caught owt then i will put some more bait out at about 11/11:30am but in the evening i put some out about 4:30/5pm suppose its personal preference or if you have caught fish from doing a certain personalised spodding pattern

I spod between 11-3 and depending if i have fish off the spots i might add a couple in the afternoon early evening but if i hadnt had anything i wont put anymore out.

People don’t understand with spoding Why anybody would keep spoding if no fish on the spots it’s unreal it’s the biggest killer for fishery’s Rotting bait on bottom of the lakes I have been a bailiff on a busy fishery I wouldn’t let that amount of bait just silly

Classic mistake, spodding, do what everybody does and catch very little. Try something else u catch more.
