VN24 - 22.09.2022 - Gevelsberg A1 / Germany - Unbelievable luck had the 48-year-old driver of a car transporter after he had hit a semitrailer at the end of a traffic jam for reasons that are unclear as always. The fact that he managed to steer his transporter a little to the left before the collision gave him enough space to miraculously survive this horror accident. He had to be cut out of the wreckage by the fire department and was airlifted to an emergency hospital by rescue helicopter with serious injuries. After several operations, he is on the way to recovery, according to police. The accident occurred at around 3:50 p.m. on the A1 freeway in the northbound direction, when a truck in front of him came to a halt due to traffic a few meters behind the "Klosterholz" service area. The directional lane had to be closed for the time of the accident until well into the evening hours.

Die chauffeur heeft echt mazzel gehad. Let altijd op tijdens het rijden , pas je aan aan het verkeer voor je. Laat je telefoon in je dashboard of uit tijdens het rijden. je hebt al je aandacht nodig op de weg !!

That should buff right out. MAn, this dude is lucky. Great job by rescue and wreak personnel. Thank god he will be ok and that he didn't have a passenger with him.

Incredible that the driver survived this! But I also guess that the trucker must have had a lot o fsleepless nights afterwards after someone hit his truck in the back and seeing what the result was.

So the tow truck which already had a car on it, was also towing that six wheeled trailer, crashed into the back of the articulated lorry, from what we can see here it very much looks like the crashed tow truck was over laden even with an empty trailer, it looks like the crashed tow truck was wholly inadequate to tow that amount of weight in the first place albeit the trailer it was towing was braked. That tow truck driver was well lucky to have survived.
