I have been working in Specialty Vet Med for 20 years, and never seen this. When I was a child in the Caribbean our dog did get one of these on the front leg. That was my fist and last time I saw this. Thanks for the demo. Always good to learn more and different techniques.

Thanks a lot for this demo. My dog just underwent this procedure. I do hope that Dakila (my 5 mo old dog), can recover from his fractured hind leg.

Our dog was hit by a car. We were able to pay for x-rays, fluids to deal with the shock, and they needed to take 100 cc of air off of his lungs, blood work to determine if there was bleeding interally, and pain meds. HE has a broken pelvis. We have him home and the vet explained we will keep him in a crate for 6 weeks and use a sling to take him outside. His front legs work and it appears his back legs work, because he can move himself around in the crate and stand briefly. He's a great pyreneese and he is very alert and responsive. We are going to try to make this for him to keep his legs in place. Thank you for showing this because when you can't afford to the amount of vet care that would be the most beneficial it helps to know that we can at least do all we can to make up for what we can't do. Thank you again

My yearling must have gotten kicked by one of the horses . . . watching this at 1:00am on Easter morning trying to stabilize until I can get a vet out!! Thank you for helping me provide humane care!! I will be sure to have aluminium on hand from now on - had to improvise with iron rebar. Thank you!!!
