When benchrest shooters and silhouette shooters find a lot number of 22 ammo that works well in their firearms they buy all of that lot they can get their hands on. Ammo changes from lot to lot and each firearm is different on what it likes. great video.

Yes, they are great rifles and accurate too! I have a model 582 tube feed I got back in the sixties. The barrel code dates it as being from May of either 1967 or 1968. I remember purchasing it with my Dad at a big box store. the gun was so accurate that I got tired of shooting out the bullseyes on the 50-yard range I started shooting at the thumbtack heads that held my targets up and could consistently hit the from the lying prone position at a rate of 3 to 4 hits out of each 5 shot groups and drop the targets to the ground with a 3x7 power scope set at 7 power. as far as I can remember I was using CCI minimags. I still have that gun and haven't shot it in decades but after seeing this video I think I'll be bringing it back out again for a little follow-up. The only thing I need for it is a front sight which is hard to find.Thanks for the video!

Great video as always . a few of my rifles really like the Federal Gold Metal Ultra match and the CCI SV and I was fortunate enough to be able to procure a good quantity of the Federal stuff. Great video.

Some ammo will shoot in your rifle won't shoot a lick in mine well it shoots just average but that's not what we are after we want the ones that shoot exceptionally my cz457 won't shoot eley or any of these but put lapua center x or the sk standard plus and they shoot lights out it all depends on the gun and what it likes. Great video and I love that rifle. I have a Zastava made Remington model 5 that I bought last year but I haven't got to shoot it yet.

Your Remington seems to resemble my CZ452 in that it is less finicky than many rimfire guns. Like your rifle, mine does spectacularly well with Federal 711b (Gold Medal Target) & Aguila subsonic (I shoot the HPs). Some of the most spectacular rimfire groups I've ever managed were with the discontinued PMC Scoremaster...you might try some if you can find it.

Before watching I'd probably put my money on SK. That said, it's interesting to see the results!

Won't be long we'll be digging ramps. I shoot the Fed-P Target alot it's good ammo and the CCI MINI MAGS the are my go to 22 ammo

Is the rifle bedded? I’d run some of that ammo, in a Neal Waltz die. Some good groups! Certainly, minute of squirrel 🐿, I bet a bedding job would make that nice rifle great.

I use target ammo to squirrel hunt. Mostly Eley Target that run into a Waltz die to hollowpoint it.

The sugolla was very impressive. I'd just take the T 22 and plink with it

My cz 457 varmint shoots the Norma tac22 in a dime size group at 50 yards

Most of these shooters never say what optic power they are using

One group really tells us nothing about the average performance of a cartridge in a given rifle. Shoot five groups with each and see what they do.

T22 never was good ammo.
