#224. Taking RESIN ART To A WHOLE NEW PEBBLE! An Experiment by Daniel Cooper
In todays Resin Art video I try to see if I can transform a plain and boring pebble into a work of art!
Inspired by a glass artist I saw a while back, I try to recreate his masterpieces using Resin Art and a small amount of holographic vinyl! The results are truly incredible and I definitely want to try this on a much bigger scale and even a much smaller scale in the future! The artists name is ‪@westonlambert‬ 😊🥰

That's really beautiful. I agree with not creating a fully clear finish. The matt allows for more light refraction, giving it an opalescence/rainbow moonstone-sstyle finish; especially with the natural stone on the back. It almost looks like it might have come from the Coober Pedy mine in Australia. Love it!

What a unique idea, Daniel. Would never have thought to try this. And I agree, the matte finish does seem to magnify the color and brightness--it has almost "rolling flash" like a light crystal opal. Very cool!

I like the slight matt finish and keeping the texture of the stone section when finished. I like the little flaw that happen in a handmade item it adds to the authenticity and integrity of the piece.

There is a process in gemstone work… opal doublet or triplet, where a thin slice of opal is adhered to a host rock. This looks like that! Beautiful.
