Loved this series growing up. Marla Gibbs, Jackee, all of them. The quips and witticisms were fantastic. The talent was superb. They flat-out don’t make goodhearted family/community shows like this anymore.

@Cynthia Williams … Absolutely. I grew up with these specific programs. It seems ridiculous to say, maybe, but our kids today being dialed-in to endless attractions on social media, we had three, maybe four, shows that we truly “made time” to view, at any given time in a decade, back in the day. 😄This was one of those magical shows.

definitely one of my all time fav episodes of 227. loved season 1 and 2 the most. ken foree shouldve had a recurring role, sucks that he was only in this episode. and props to mr norman lear 101 and still going strong
