Many years ago, I came from England, my father was from South Africa, and he was an 'African Marine". My mum was from Haiti. I enlisted because of my uncles all serving and becoming citizens of the US. I followed suite from the end of Saigon to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, serving as a combat medic with the US Army Airborne. The Marine Corps traditions kept me alive all of those years. Colonel Eddie Ray & I attended law school together. He is depicted in this video. I am honored to know him, and we both are now former Marines. Semper Fi, brothers and sisters.

The fact that the things these people do is so unbelievably impossible to us and so terrifying and daring to ever imagine seeing ourselves do it shows the fact that these men are truly heroes. Things we though to be impossible was accomplished because they raised their arms and charged in regardless of their own self consent and welfare of themselves. Truly selfless individuals who deserve all the honor and respect of everyone in the world. Going into something knowing there’s a chance of that move being the last move you ever do is a mindblowing move that no normal human could even dream of performing. My great Grandfather just died due to Alzheimers. Because of that and the nasty memories WWll left him, that he never wanted to talk about, I never knew much. All I know, as well as many others is that he is one of the people America greatly appreciates. My dad is also a Marine, and I'll always be proud to come from a military family.
