The EXC-2-GFCI-20A-2023-125V from Larson Electronics is a 24" SOOW Linecord with GFCI Duplex Outlet that is designed for heavy duty and outdoor applications. This rugged extension cord is constructed of 24" 12-gauge 3-conductor wire, equipped with a 20-amp rated explosion proof 5-20 male cord cap, an inline GFCI, a 5-20R and allows operators to provide ground fault protection within hazardous locations by use of a portable GFCI line cord that has a 4-6 ma trip level to dentify ground faults.
The EXC-2-GFCI-20A-2023-125V linecord provides a safe and effective way for operators to power a variety of general use devices within a hazardous location with a hot permit. The 24" of chemical and abrasion resistant flexible 12/3 SOOW cord is terminated in male NEMA 5-20, 20 amp rated, explosion proof cord cap. An inline GFCI and female 5-20C connector provides ground fault protection from explosion proof receptacles that do not provide GFCI protection.
Hot Work Permit: This line cord is approved for hot work permit applications and allows operators to use their non-explosion proof equipment within an explosion proof environment. The alternative to this line cord is to convert non-explosion proof equipment to explosion proof plugs which can quickly become prohibitively expensive. Having the ability to use non-explosion proof equipment within hazardous areas when a job requires it makes this line cord able to greatly increase the versatility of non-explosion proof equipment. These industrial line cords are popularly used in hazardous locations when hot work permits have been acquired. We also offer class rated extension cords for use within explosion proof and hazardous location environments without hot work permits.
