I go to the long jetty sometimes but near the boat ramp, there is a smaller jetty there which I find better catching for squid, flatties, whiting and other species to. Great video!

Hi Nev, I used to have a farm near that pier before it was reopened, we used to have to sneak onto it. Its a great location for floundering also. The town was economically depressed and the idea of rebuilding was to re-boost tourism after the shark cat ferry to Tasmania closed down. The jetty you fished from was used in ww2. Hopefully your video boosts visitors to the town!

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzfaq.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I seen one of your videos where you put some tape on your line as a stopper for your squid float.have you tried wool??..it makes excellent stoppers get some off ya mum.cut a piece about 6 inches long.and lay it along your main line and form a loop like your tying a uni knot and pass it over your main line and through the loop about 4 or 5 times and wet it and tighten pulling on both ends.trim off excess and bingo. a beautiful sliding stopper knot that will also go through your runners easily.i think it was the video where you took the skin off your finger😂✌
