Thank you for sharing this. Is there an advantage to getting acropolis tickets ahead of time if coming in high season (July)

I (Daniel) was there in off season so the line were not too bad, but in high season it can get really busy. I would recommend getting tickets online. AND get there early in the morning when they open… much cooler and less people.

Well in general in Greece the meat on the rotisserie is called gyros (the pita wrap as well) and the meat on the skewer souvlaki. And then we Athenians enter the chat😂 In Athens we call the pita wrap souvlaki and the meat on the skewer kalamaki. Kalamaki is also the word for straw so everyone else in Greece makes fun of us for this reason. We still call the meat on the rotisserie gyros though 🤷🏼‍♂️
