We start our summer in Alaska in Fairbanks! Fairbanks is Alaska's second largest city and the coldest city in North America. While it does get the coldest, its probably the warmest city in Alaska during the summer since its in interior Alaska, not by the coast. We explored the Northernmost botanical garden in North America - Georgeson Botanical Garden. Grabbed some delicious pizza for lunch. We had to see Pioneer Park and we loved walking around and checking out all the historic log homes that were moved here. And we end the day with a delicious dinner at an awesome restaurant that serves Eastern European cuisine, something we are both familiar with.
