Iraqi, Kurdistan an unrecognised country in the Middle East. Still technically part of Iraq but they have their own government, flag and language! Very confusing but I explore this region anyway and show you the capital of Kurdistan, Erbil.

Thank you everyone who watched the Iraq videos! Back in the UK now and waiting for the next adventure. Remember, if you want some Saddam Hussein money from Iraq then comment below something and I’ll choose someone 👍

I remember Simon Wilson invited a subscriber to come and travel with him and they had to send a video on why they want to travel with him. He did it with some subscribers for some different countries. And hotels 🏨 and accommodations were all paid for. They only had to pay for flights and food & drinks.

Rite Ben, before I go on, I just want to tell you, I'm a 63yr old man. When I was a young man such as your good self, I too loved to travel, it is the only true education. I've been watching you for a while and have made a few comments. I did mention about your delivery being a bit strained. However, you are smashing it now. I feel your being yourself now, far more natural. Your doing a great job, your taking a few risks and your content is great. Loving the places your going to. It does take bottle to go to these places, especially alone. Top man, keep it up, I'm getting to see places I wouldn't see normally. Top man

Hi Ben.I’ve worked in Kurdistan and it is completely different too Iraq. Most British people don’t understand the difference but working with Kurds im very aware how patriotic they are of their own state. Personally the Kurds also for the most part have a different physical appearance. They tend to be more olive skinned than the Iraqis. Ben that posh hotel you had a drink in being a westerner they wouldn’t of even challenged you. I know it sounds arrogant but you’ve got to walk in like you own the place and they won’t even challenge you😂

A very interesting vlog Ben. A few years back, specialist tour companies were flying into Erbil (with Lufthansa?) to provide an insight into this region for those interested. I am sure those who made the journey will be enriched by the experience as much as you have been. 👍

I know what you mean about that heat. The hot is hot and what I imagine being in an air fryer would feel like. We topped out at 116F and every day was over 100F with most above 105F in July. It was crazy!

So is Iraqi Kurdistan something that was agreed with the Americans? Because the Kurds has been fighting for their own land in that area for the longest time against pretty much everyone. Still fighting with Turkey, Syria and Iran

Following 1991, Nato established a no fly zone over the region which allowed them (kurds) to gain control. Then after the 2003 invasion, the US created a new constitution that pretty much paved the way for what you see today (iraqi kurdistan).

it's not complicated at all it's simple, Kurdistan was STOLEN divided IN TO 4 OR 5 by Britain and from it was created fake iraq turkey syria and iran, kurds are indigenous, turks are mix of many, also kurdish is indo European language so its related even to English, example TO BE OR NOT TO BE in Kurdish its TU BE TU NA BE, and much more
