I like how the driver stopped the car for praying, it gets me to three facts: 1- he trusts the nice tourists by leaving the keys & phone 2- the country is secure 3- we respect his believe 2-

Your uber driver is very good one. He perform his religious duty and he completely leave the keys and car to both of you. Meaning he trusted you so you should trust him too. Cheers

Like seriously, I have no prejudice against his religious duty, matter of fact, I think he is quite sincere and faithful. I am just speaking from a pragmatic stance, that he should better pause his work so that it will not cause any potential problem to the clients. Btw, which words I said that show I'm a racist or extremist? It's you who are being oversensitive about his religion. A person with no preconceived idea will not be so offensive about my statement (which is actually neutral). I will say the same words to people of my own race too.

as an american who is currently living in Malaysia for 4 years , i would highly recommend you to go to the most greenest city in Asia , which is Putrajaya ( if in the states , we call it Washington DC). Just take Speed train (KLIA transit to putrajaya central) .There, you can go to a list of botanical parks , while visiting the Prime Minister office and residents. I promise you it is sooooo peaceful. Secondly , if you go to Perhentian Island , do consider to explore Redang Island too ! it is slightly wayyyy more beautiful than perhentian and it just located like 5 minutes away . Thirdly , do explore Penang, Langkawi and Malacca ! If you have enough budget , backpacking to Sabah is veryyyyyyy satisfying , i promise . enjoy your day in here , while im enjoying mine :)

Yes this is what I'm talking about. Tourists always too focused on central KL when Putrajaya is the real gem. It's a city of architectural marvel and beauty despite being a federal territory. And yes it's much like the Washington, D.C. with its neoclassical architecture! Our iconic Twin Towers will be dethroned by the 644 meters megatall KL118 which is among the tallest ever and 4 other supertalls currently under construction. KL will finally have new landmarks soon. Guys just visit us instead of the overly expensive gulf states plus we got tropical beaches all over the country! lol

Your taxi driver, he is a good man. At that time you were using the service, the prayer time is quite short, so he needed to do his prayers before the prayer time ended. Sorry it was an inconvenience. Like another reader has suggested, a visit to Putrajaya is a must. The whole city is a park. There are so many parks to visit in that one giant park. It also has the biggest extreme games park in south east Asia. There is a cruise to take, hot air ballon, rides, activities aplenty. If you are not into any of those activities, a stroll in the city just to admire the architecture would fill up your time. So head on back to KL again just for Putrajaya! Happy travels guys. Enjoy your stay here in Malaysia

Ohh, gosh, I loved Malaysia and this video is seriously giving me flashbacks! Try to visit Penang and Cameron Highlands as well, as the first has awesome awesome food and is super artsy (great for photography) and the second is full nature (mossy forest, tea plantations, jungle treks). Now I feel like buying a ticket back, hehe!

Ohh, I saw your reply just now! We were mostly in George Town, where you can try the famous hot pot (Place: Tugoliang, a bit pricey but there surely are cheaper places as well), Ais Kacang (ice drink) and Sayur Lodeh Masam Manis (coconut milk soup with veggies) with congkak platters and blue rice (Place: Cafe Lagenda), laksa soup (only a few places have the veggie one, I had the fish one), white coffee and the cutest 3D art coffee (Place: Coffee on the table) and a lot of street food that I forgot. For sights, just walk through the centre of the city and take in all the street art, have coconut water in a bag and browse the animal themed shops (owl, dog, cat shop). We also took a day trip to Penang National Park for the beaches and nature (monkey beach - a bit too crowded so we skipped it, but turtle beach was very nice) and skipped batu feringgi for the same reason. I hope you're still there and this is helpful! Let me know if I can help with anything else

One thing that is great about my country Malaysia is that there's always a balance for everything. Glad that Steve managed to get his drone footage after the failing experience in Bangkok! And the Malaysian money are soooo nice! Love the pastel colors and the hibiscus drawn on it! I love Malaysian Money. It's very wonderful to have a 1 Riggnit note when you can buy a can of Pepsi fromKL Sentral for 1 MYR Also I've been to KL like 8 times in 4 years and I have never gone up those twin Towers. I did all my going up tower in North America. I just see the price as a tourist trap LOL

This is excellently edited video I really love the cinematography, Malaysia looks breathtaking from your great skills 😍 I especially adore the slow motion part, so mesmerizing. I've seen so much of Malaysia as I am Malaysian (lol) but more toward to the countryside as metropolis gets me quite anxious all the time (I don't know why, maybe crowds?? Big buildings??) but this is such an eye opener! Now I'm craving to walk and shop around Jalan Tar, Jalan Masjid India, Chow Kit, Chinatown and many more in KL. Can't wait to see more of your masterpiece, wish both of you guys best luck and happy trip! :)

Actually, the park is not KL central park (we call it KLCC park). KL main central park is Perdana Botanical Gardens which is a lot larger and it's near to the KL Bird Park. The Central Park is actually near to some major attractions too (National Mosque, Islamic Museum, Bird Park, Butterfly Park, Tugu Negara.. ). Anyway, I visited Perth 3 years ago and I love the city! But it was winter and rainy at that time, lol.

This video shows a very small part of KL. There's a lot more things to do in KL rather than hanging out at the usual KLCC ,Twin Towers area. You should go to Bukit Bintang which is the shopping district in KL. It's home to some of the best malls in the world especially Pavillion KL. There's also the famous street food at Bukit Bintang which is knowns as Jalan Alor where you can get extremely cheap and good local street food. If you're into nightlife, head over to Changkat Bukit Bintang. KL is also home to South East Asia largest super nightclub, Zouk KL. If you think the KLCC park is nice, I bet you will find the Perdana Lake Gardens which is near KL Sentral a lot better. The park is bigger and nicer than KLCC. The national museum or also known as, Muzium Negara is also located nearby. Try heading to the KL Bird Park which is one of the largest bird parks in the world. Check out Petaling Street which is basically KL's Chinatown. Can get really cheap goods. If you're into history and architecture, go check out Dataran Merdeka where you can see beautiful colonial buildings that have been well maintained. If you wanna explore the quieter and local side of KL, head on to Bangsar or Mont Kiara neighborhoods which is 15 minutes from the city centre. Can get cheap local meals at the restaurants. Highly recommend to use Grab or Uber over taxi. It's usually cheaper than taking a taxi. KL is arguably one of the unique cities in the world. Wished you has more than 24 hours to really explore the city.

Hi guys. I remember watching your first vlog way back when (I think you were only hitting a few hundred views at the time) and I am so happy that you have managed to carry on. I lived in KL for one year and even though it is probably not the best Asian city to visit, it was amazing to live in. There are probably a few more things worth seeing when you are next over in KL. As far as the rest of Malaysia, if you like Asian food, particularly Malaysian, head to Penang. It is the best place for food. It is a nice island as well with a really big temple in the mountains with nice views. Don't go there for the beaches. For the beaches there are so many other areas, perhentian islands where you are now, langkawi and tioman island among others. Head to Malacca if you want to see some of the original settlements from the Europeans and nice little town. Hope you have a great time in Malaysia!

So interesting to see your city in someone else's perspective haha! So proud! Wished you could've eaten more though, there is just so much food from different cultures and much much more to explore. Also, the cafe scene is pretty big in KL which I think you guys would loveeee. Cafe hopping is actually one of our favourite weekend activities in KL so you guys should definitely try it out hehe!

I honestly think that our weaker currency is really indirectly proportional to the rise of travel vlogs in Malaysia. Lately my youtube feed is flooded with these. Ugh, i miss my days as an intern next door to Traders Hotel :(

The one that i can recalled was exploring with Josh few weeks ago, because he is pretty big on KZfaq. And a few others that I cant remember. hmm who else? Pewdiepie and his gf had their holiday in KL staying at Grand Hyatt, few metres away from Traders.

I am from Seri Kembangan, 25 km and 15 minutes south of KL. I am a Malaysian originally from Kedah but now working, resideng and raising a family in Klang Valley (Greater KL Metro Area(. Glad you people enjoying KL. Please visit Rawang, 25 minutes north of KL, petite pretty quaint little town surrounded by beautiful lush green mountains/hills, with a beautiful reservoir ringed by hills, a mountain stream flowing through in nearby Sungai Chiling Recreational Forest.(Chiling River Recreational Forest). In front of the main gate to the reservoir, just across the road, is the gate into the Chiling River Fish sancturay. You can walk miles into the sanctuary across scenic forest landscape with streams and waterfall till you reach the fish sanctuary where friendly and tame mahseeer swim over to you and school around you and your legs, You can prractically touch and kiss the fish. Nearby too is Pertak Orang Asli Village (Aboriginal village), very beautiful where government build cute tiny bungalows for several aboriginal families..

Love the drone footage so much 😍 It was my honour to be able to share some information with both of you! 😁 Anyway, this video just made me miss Malaysia so much. :/ Hope you guys enjoyed everything that Malaysia has to offer, take care and enjoy the rest of your trip! Thanks for the amazing content and hopefully Steph's leg has stopped bleeding. And hopefully Jess has gotten her laptop fixed, same thing happened to my laptop and portable hard disk drive simultaneously after my Europe trip. Thank god I backed up some of my photos and videos in my friend's laptop.
