Thanks for watching!
I'm trying to find a format that allows me to create these frequently whilst traveling. With the goal of getting to show off more places down the road. Any feedback is very appreciated, and honestly works as the best support to spread my work.
Been living in this car full time for more than four years, but with work down south near the capital.. I've spent a lot of time living out of parking lots as well.
I spent a full year up in the arctic with the car up until 2020. But mostly for work and photography. Therefore it feels a bit like coming back home again. And this time, I get to showcase it trough videos as I'm figuring out how to make them.
Thanks again, K

Thanks to all old, and new people stopping by to check this out. I'm living In the car full time (in my fourth year), and hopefully I get to spend more time on the road instead of being stationary for work a lot of the time. And the more I travel, the more videos I'm able to put out here for you. Best support possible is to drop comments and share it with like minded people, to help generate a side income form ad monitazation on the KZfaq platform. Cheers!

Your films are excellent. As a fellow traveller, LR4 owner and all-round Land Rover enthusiast (I have almost the same vehicle as you, in the same colour, though a 2016 model with the SCV6 petrol engine), I think your photography and narration depicts your country and what you do, very well. I have lived similarly to the way you do, and I appreciate the calm, organised way you appear to travel and make your films. While being from Scotland originally, and having travelled extensively, I have been fortunate to spend a lot of time in Norway over many years. Because of this, I recognise many places in your videos, from the Hardanger to the Lofoten Islands and the Nord Kapp, which brings back many memories. I also work in Svalbard most summers, though of course I don’t take a vehicle there. One of my earliest trips to Norway was in a 1965 88” Series IIA diesel Land Rover, loaded with my langrennem ski gear. Getting there that time, I had taken the ferry from Frederickshaven, in Denmark, to Larvik. After visiting friends in Oslo and skiing in various places, I drove across the Hardanger to Bergen and took the ferry back to the UK. You have been living a life many people think they might like but could not actually live. As an LR4/Discovery 4 owner, I appreciate your vehicle and how you look after it. I used to drive a Discovery 2 professionally, and while I know there is a lot of discussion about certain unreliability in Discoverys and amongst Land Rovers in general, I see them as also being more versatile and capable than almost any other vehicle. Mine serves me well and is often loaded-up with camping and skiing gear and tows our boat wherever we want to take it, it can also carry seven people in comfort over any road in any season. I maintain my LR4 myself, as I have maintained all my cars my whole life, and if it needs work beyond my scope or resources, I am very careful who I choose to do it. You probably can’t answer many questions when you have so many comments and subscribers, but if I could ask you any I would like to know how you keep the underside of your LR4 so clean, and what you treat it with. I assume that in addition to washing/spraying it, you must have treated it with a combination of paint and another oil-based rust-proofer. Living in part of North America with long, hard winters where, unfortunately, the roads are treated with salt, I constantly worry about the long term effect of that on the underside of my vehicle. Considering your trip to Denmark, where you drove for extended periods on beaches and in salt water, I’d be interested to know how you deal with this problem. Thank you for the excellent videos. I hope you can continue to do what you do.
@kasperhoglund

That sounds bloody amazing man. It’s fully covered with salt here as well, so I use an old style sheep fat to treat my cars for winter. I really agree with what you said about people thinking they want a lifestyle, but couldn’t handle it. Very true for what I do, as it looks nice but obviously has its challenges. I have now sold the LR4, and bought a 1981 109” and a 1974 88” that I’ll travel with now!

What I stock discovery with all terrain tires can do is absolutely wild. The only limit this car really has for “off-roading” is the lack of room for bigger tires. But as far as overlanding goes, people seems to forget that most people don’t rock crawl with their actual home. Need to make it keep rolling in the long run as well! 😅🤝

My D3 is a 2008 with 254k on it. It has spent the last 6 years traversing Africa. It's got through roads/tracks mud, sand, snow etc. that many other cars did not make. Without doubt, the D3 and D4's are supreme off-road (which is where they are built for) cars that are equally fitting in the city. They have taken the mantra of "the best 4x4 by far" to a new level.

I appreciate your honesty about your maintenance and reliability record with the LR4. It's easy to pile on the LR stereotypes but in reality they make extremely capable 4x4's and no matter which badge is on the front of your truck they all have their issues. Keep the amazing cinematography coming, I enjoy each episode a little more than the last. Safe travels!

Thanks for that! Want to be as transparent as possible. But it’s just so obvious that it’s not really a Land Rover issue with these. It’s more of the ford parts from when they were owned by them that is causing issues😅🫡

First Comment! Did not expect another video so soon, thanks for this Kasper, another great Video as always! Regarding Reliablility, they do get a hard time, I have a 2014 Discovery 4 HSE, have had it 2 years now, I have had issues, but issues aside, I still love it and always look forward to getting into it and just driving anywhere, the feeling it gives you in terms of exploration is unrivalled, I have taken it off road a lot, up and down mountains, through snow, beaches, etc & never once have I been stuck & I totally agree with he looks of it, It is beautiful much more so than the newer Discovery 5... Stay safe & I look forward to all videos to come!

Down here in Australia, our D4 SDV6 is also not the usual choice for real adventures (Aussies love Toyota's for this) but so far it seems we've been lucky to have one of those rare, reliable, high performance Disco's and agree, she's a handsome thing. My Renault has had so many electrical problems, it makes you so mad some times! The LR is just as good or bad as everything else. However, they are very versatile but can be hammered off road, are more likely to tow and are are not looked after by their owners in general, so are more likely to break. Still a great car in my opinion.
