I thoroughly enjoy the long videos and it is brilliant to watch an OCD person doing a restoration! It is then done properly!

I drove my first 88 in 1986-87 my staff sergeant assumed I had a driving licence and I drove 100 miles on a round trip, after it he asked for a copy of my licence and was not best pleased to discover I couldn't drive,,, his mistake not mine 😂😂😂 I have loved the simplicity of them ever since

I agree with you because I know what it's like living in Great Britain and even though I am Polish, we have been fighting such people for 10 years and we try to take care of our routes, but the local authorities close the routes and we are not surprised at all. And I wonder how we would go to the Nazis and ride through farmers' fields. But I know one thing that in 4 weeks I should be in Oslo with my chariot 😂 (RangeRover l322 4.4.tdv8) so see you somewhere on the legal trail. Regards

Hello. This video is excellent. Thank you. I have a 2013 LR4 and would like to mimic your wheel setup. Is reducing the frame horn by an inch the only modification you recommend while I have the wheels removed? Also, the white rims are beautiful. Who is the manufacturer?

Hi Kasper. Greetings from South Africa. Why the decision to move from the 109 to the 88 inch? The 109 seems a lot more practical for your purposes

Mate. I have a ‘64 2a 88” that I’ve been slowly restoring over the years while keeping it on the road. My 5 and 7 year olds love it and It’ll be in my family for generations. It means so much more to everyone that it’s got so much of my whole families blood sweat and tears into. Just like you knowing you’ll be able to handle roadside repairs because you’ve been thoroughly over that truck, it also adds such a sense of value and sentiment to it. They already had so much character and then after someone lovingly restores it, bringing it back from the brink, you really bring it alive. CONGRATS. great videos as well.

Love your approach and way of thinking. Sometimes you just have to fix something and move on, but if you truly take the time to understand it then you are much better equipped for many things that you may encounter down the road.

It’s similar in New Zealand. Freedom camping used to be a big thing, and to an extent still is - but it’s been ruined by the minority who do bad things like leave rubbish and use that bush 1m from the campsite as a toilet.

A problem everywhere, what our gvt did is to restrict those areas access, tourists have to book guides through a travel agency and appropriate visas.

Getting the preload spot on is always the one thing that puts me off attempting a gearbox/transfer/diff rebuild myself, especially the preload procedure for the Disco3 rear diff. I'd probably be happy to try it on a series/early land rovers.

For a series everything is pretty doable! And the numbers are pretty wide open 😂 but I’m following old dude tips to choose one end of the scale for some of them. The moderner cars I wouldn’t dare to test without knowing how to 😅

Great video with desirable shifting to a more detailed filming of particular part of build. For me who is just thinking about repairing of transfer case on a conceptually similar off-road car - it's quite an inspiring stuff:) Would you mind to share text books, web resources which you find most useful in your restoration (Series or Land Rover in general) ? PS Sounds of working tools someone could treat even more charming than music:)))
