Why is it that I enjoy watching your videos so much. I think you really take the time to make watching the content worth while. I don't think I saw any video of that city before. What a gem of a place. Lot of kudos for that guy. His enthusiasm no less than his expertise in explaining history. You made a great choice in putting together this tour by enjoying the beauty of that city. I would have loved to see the place you bought food, which was not in the video. Lot of other KZfaqrs just show same old content what others show on the beaten path, and after a while the only thing to do is just skip the whole video, if you know what I mean.

WOW, interesting vlogging. Anuradhapura is older than 2000 years. At the archiyalogical museum at anuradhapura you can see many ancient things including medical equipment s use for operations in ancient Srilanka. They believe around 40000 thousand monk's have lived in anuradhapura . When you go around you will realise how devolved systems they had in that era. Do not forget to visit twin ponds and samadhee statue of Lord budha. Marvelous craftsmanship. For your lunch you had green beans, coconut sambol,bringjol fried, and bread fruit cooked, not potatoes, Keep exploring and enjoying Srilanka Safe and happy journey. Much Love from Srilanka.

I enjoyed watching this first video from you guys. The better part was having Nilukshan as your guide, he is the guide for all of us as well, the way he explained the teaching of Buddhism, the old and new city of Anuradhapura, the encircling big man made lake, the Mihintale rock as he covered the whole day with his skills of knowledge of his own home town. From the looks of it your lunch consisted of rice, coconut sambal (orange), casava curry (the yellowish yam) and two other veggis which I believe was cooked okra (or could be green beans) and fried onion with salted & dried sprat ( a small fish). Guys it's very important that you mix the rice with small proportions of the accompanying curries while you eat. However south Asian cooking is best eaten with hands as it enhances the flavours by mixing all the different dishes in to one mouthful at a time. This way you could control the spice level of each bite as well. Bon appetit

Dish makes with Coconut, Chilies, Pepper, Salt, lime, onions ☺️ and also small tip for you guys, when you are eating Sri Lankan Rice & Curry you should use your right hand without spoon 😉 it makes your meal so delicious. Trust me and do it once 😇

Hi friends you were very lucky to have a guide like him, if you still in anuradhapura if have time visit black water pool between mihinthale and anuradhapura, wear suitable dress there are priest or persons following meditation and ask them you wish to visit places they meditate there is mountain right side of pool you can walk through once you visit you will get a view you will not forget for long, keep some time free for feel the natura

Hello there you guys I am back with some comments about the whole episode here!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ really fantastic Journey that you have made in this episode and the tourist guide nilukshan is a really fantastic guy who had genuine Insider information about the place because he's also a local there and about 90% of the things he told you is actually genuine and true... but I found something s here and there he got a little wrong and the first one i found is he told you that lions were never here in Sri Lanka but as a matter of fact there is a famous Global heritage site called "Sinharaja" rainforest Reserve in the district of rathnapura which is a really spectacular authentic rainforest that you might never see anywhere else in the world apart from South America.... and that rainforest it's named after a Lion King.... archaeological evidence that portrays Sri Lanka had lions about 12,000 years ago and Sri Lanka was inhabited by the modern humans for about 35,000 years and of course those lions and humans should have crossed their parts more than few times in the prehistoric times for sure and humans might be the culprit for the Lions Extinction as well in Sri Lanka!!! and theres a hint for this as this sinharaja Forest even now has virgin forests that no human had settled foot on even now and the history suggests that a lone lion had roamed this Forest and hence named the forest in his honor as the Lion King's Forest... it was a legend that was passed it down through generations that lone lion that was the king of that jungle suggests that The Last Lion passed away from Sri Lanka really close to the modern human era.... so that is the story of lions in sri lanka (I forgot to tell you thta sinha-raja literally means the lion king and that was this Lion King's jungle) and about the pesticide story creating the kidney failures that's also a little bit partially true as anuradhapura and the surrounding areas has some minerals in the groundwater as dissolved Limestone an all that is also a contributing factor to kidney failures there it's the combination of pesticide herbicide use and the geology is what is making this farmers and familys sick.... in mihintale s ancient monks Hospital you have seen some human shaped Stone digged vessel, in actuality that vessel has been used to treat monks by submerging them in medicinal oils and medicinal Waters to cure there are elements.... it has been said about 10,000 moonks resided there and the place is believed to be having the first "campus" ever devised to educate monks and people who want to learn in the world!!! it said that the place had a curriculum of religion architecture philosophy and all !!! but in the late anuradhapura era the invasions of "kalinga maga" had burned this campus to the ground destroying everything and knowledge the place teached forever!!! but in the recent past honoring that tradition of knowledge and exploration mihintale had a new complete campus the first campus in the north central province of Sri Lanka The Rajarata (kings country) campus or the campus of the king's country established in mihintale!!! that's the story about that!!!
