The ant is actually a reference to the inspiration being the spore fungus in the games. There is a fungus that grows on an ant's brain and takes control of it like a puppet. And turns it into a zombie like the clickers.

Number 9, the Wind Waker one, has been known since the game came out. At least one of the guides released along side the game even mentions it. I even remember doing it not long after the game came out on a second play through then later telling a friend about it as he approached that boss.

The first big one I remember was the Naboo fighter in Rogue Squadron on N64, but maybe that doesn't count as an Easter egg since the devs mentioned it's existence when no one found it before SW Ep 1 was released.

One Easter egg that I really love is the 'Lord of the Pies' In Dragon Age Inquisition. It's underneath the castle floor the entire time and its inaccessible to the average player. The only way to access it is to go into Solas's room whilst the map is still loading in. If you time it right, the floor in Solas' room will be invisible and you're able to fall through and you'll land on the floor underneath, where you will see a giant Pie with a top hat on and big googly eyes. If you get too close to it, it will disappear, but it will play a music box melody for about 10 minutes. Apparently there are more pies scattered around the world, but The Lord Of The Pie is the only one that has been found and the game came out 8 years ago

3:20 - Alpha 2 dash on the PS1 (Street Fighter Collection) all you have to do is press start on Akuma 5 times. Evil Ryu, press start 2 or 3 times. We went through every character. There was a different version of Sakura and Zangief.

Ooh, watching this video and getting to 1:27 hurt a bit I remember how my mom was playing Nier Automata a lot when she got it and even would dress as 2B for Halloween twice, picking me up from school and going trick or treating (i actually ended up with the outfit and wig, and i also dressed as her for a Halloween school event :D). But seeing that date in the article around 1:34 really hurt as my mom, who really enjoyed the game, died on January 4th a year before that article was made. It really sucks and i think she would've loved to see it if she were still alive then. I might just learn to play it since she liked it and we kept all her games when she died. maybe i can try to do the easter egg so it'll be like she got to use it finally :')

Another Easter egg is found in Sims 3. As soon as you get someone to level 4 cooking skills, they can make sushi. The default version is anchovy, but you can turn any kind of fish into sushi - even if it's goldfish! Edit: and it's also possible to make watermelon pancakes or lime pancakes!
