@@Im_Old_Gregg Nah You would think the coaching staff and administration should have their hands in the NIL deals which to a certain extent they do, but at the end of the day, the coaches and staff aren’t the ones writing the checks… SC (meaning the big guys writing the checks) aren’t willing to reach in their pockets quite deep enough than some other schools like UGA OSU Oregons etc

Born and raised in southern California and moved out of CA about 3 years ago. Moving out of the state was the best decision I have ever made. California is not even close to what it once used to be. I’ve been a Trojan fan all my life but if I was a top high school football player getting recruited by every school in the nation, I would not be going to SC.

Youth football participation in CA has dropped dramatically since PC's era. CA is now putting out first-rounders at the same rate as FL, GA, etc and their populations are nowhere near the size. Riley does need to create success locally but when the Bosco coach says, mid-season, that he hasn't seen Riley or staff in months, that's a problem. Those relationships need to be built and Riley isn't doing it.

I believe California the state and SoCal the area has enough talent (including ol/dl) to compete with anyone in the United States. Just because USC chooses not to explore that option in their recruiting doesn't make them right. And no, I'm not a Homer. I'm an Alabama fan from the days of Gene Stallings. Not a casual. I just think California gets a bad rap because we're not Texas, Florida, or Georgia. If you look at the early Southern California days of Pete Carroll (especially that first national championship team that spanked Oklahoma) you'll see tons of California talent everywhere on that roster, including the ol/dl. Now I understand times change, but I still firmly believe California has and can produce more than enough talent along the lines of scrimmage.

What deserves??? He is 2 years into coaching USC and he made the change. The guy is barely 40 you be crying the mext decade ones he starts to dominate. He no longer at OKC. LOS ANGeles is among the most demanding sporting cities aling with NY and BOSTON. Say what you want about those FLAKES in LA but they always reach for the stars .
