As a sixty-year-old viewer I remember FSU-UM, FSU-FL, TX-A&M, Neb-OK, OSU-MU, etc. of course I hated all of them… but they were entertaining. I also remember PSU-ND and USC-ND.

Bobby Bowden was the Best thing in College football ever. I am a Hurricane all the way, bad and good. But Coach Bowden a week before a chance at a Natty took time to talk to me about signing a picture of himself so I could give it to my Dying Cousin. Come on man who the hell else would do that but Coach Bobby Bowden, simply the best. Dag Nab It ! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Josh, you’re right about the playoff when it comes to merit. However, the auto bids force parity to happen. If this structure remained, recruits would eventually realize they can take the “Gonzaga route” and go to non SEC/B1G teams and have a great shot at the playoff. Auto bids are the only think preventing college football from immediately divulging into a two conference system.

From 1983-2013 One of the big three finished the season ranked 1st or 2nd 17 times out of 30. Meaning champion or running up in over half the football seasons during that period and if you look 1983-2003 the number is a staggering 14 of 20 seasons, 70%. Kids today cannot understand the type of dominance those schools had on the sport and because of that how fierce those rivalries were and still are between the programs even if the nation is less interested as a whole. Sure “look at the SEC, 2006 to now” ok but all of the teams in the sec aren’t arch rivals with each other and aren’t made up almost exclusively by kids who may have known each other since they were little boys.

So this guy is saying the other schools in the Big 12 have had a coach & staff for more then one season; this is Coach Prime 2nd off season and these clowns are talking the highest of high standards for him after inheriting a 1 & 11 team!!!! A historically awful team he inherited actually; if he was one of the cookie cutter whyte boys that’s been given these SEC jobs and coaching jobs in general for hanging around Saban or someone every last one of these talking heads would be on their knees praising this man at how amazing of a job he’s doing with a college university; literally taking 💩 and placing it in the biggest stage possible as no school is getting more attention!!! You haters are making sure the young men take notice; that the 5 stars have Colorado in their top 10 & top 5!!!

Difference between Texas and Texas A&M is that Texas was a has been until very recently. A&M has always been a "never was". So being "back" isn't a thing that can really be applied to them. That being said, thanks to the money that's floating aroumd there these days, they could definitely be a force if they ever learn to get out of thwir own way.

I think Quinshon Judkins is really important. And more important than any RB you mentioned. At times last season Ohio State was using their 4th RB bc everyone was hurt. Unfortunately TreVeyon Henderson gets hurt quite a bit but hopefully having Judkins as a one-two punch he will stay healthy. Also having this running back room will give the new QB time to adjust.

miami running the table is delusional. mario’s in game coaching looses you two games. and cam ward is good but, mario’s isn’t the best developer of qb’s. I think ward crumbles in the swamp, and also looses to fsu. I think usf is a sleep team as well

According to 247 Napier tookb over a top 15 roster in the entire country so i don't buy the lack of talent argument. He got gifted a top 5 NFL QB. Mullen took over a 4 win roster and won 10 games year 1. Went to 2 NY6 bowl games. Then he got lazy when he thought he was going to the NFL and that didn't happen. Then he chose his friendships over the program. Notably Grantham. Reminds me of Napier/ Rob Sale🤷🏻‍♂️......next why don't they pay these coaches by the number of wins they get? Win more you make more. Not just here is 7 million a year with a huge buyout. Oh you're sub .500e every year unto you get fired and you still make 30 million

Let's be real the state of Florida had a monopoly on college football for decades and the NCAA had to do something about it. I believe our programs were systematically weakened. Bama, OSU, ect wouldnt be shit without our players. NIL is changing things and once that fence starts to get built again the rest of these programs are gonna shrink back into the crowd.

Bingo! As a Miami fan who lives here in West Central Florida, this state control CFB! The SEC bag men ran a muke 2003 to 2020 here in Florida and the NCAA turned a blind eye. NIL has even the playing field! Especially for a small private school like Miami! Miami may not have a large student population and alumni base like FSU, UF, UCF, USF, FIU or even FAU! However, Miami is located in one of the money and power base areas in the nation and the world which is South Florida/Miami. Miami has rich millionaire and billionaire alums and booster in South Florida, Atlanta, DC, Chicago, LA, NYC and etc. These people have businesses and corporations. They millionaire and billionaire friends have businesses and corporations. NIL is nothing but a tax right for them on a yearly basis to Miami. USC is about to explode as well with their NIL! We all know the alumni and boosters, they have in Hollywood with Directors, actors, producers and etc in So Cal, nationally and internationally.

FSU fans like me are convinced that we're back. We've got great coaches and the sky is the limit. FSU fans like me want UM to be back too. Why? They're our rival and we "hate" them right? We want them back because when both teams are at the top the rivalry is incredibly exciting and fun. I'd like UF to be better too for similar reasons, but nothing matches the FSU-UM rivalry.
