Drive it in the winter, homie!! I drive my 2003 GLI 24v VR6 in the winter. She's spray coated on the chassis/unibody underneath and the control arms and suspension components should be painted from the factory! Just wash her weekly & you'll never have to worry about rust except for the exhaust & the damn quarter panels. Just make sure you keep an eye out underneath! I have two other cars that I don't drive in the winter. 1991 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR-4 & a 2012 BMW F30 3 series. I park them both in the garage during the winter but my VR6 gets some good love!!! They're amazing winter cars!

I know its been 2 years lmao but please dont, the vr6 isnt made for tuning and it wont give u much power if you want a mk4 that is tunable you should get a 1.8t, those things can pull.

I have a turbo'd 24v vr that I wanna straight pipe. It'd just be too obnoxiously loud in the town I'm at and I'd prob spend more time on the side of the road w the boys behind me than actually driving 😂 Love that exhaust note tho.

Couldn't tell you how many times I've seen/heard people call their car straight piped when it still retained stock manifold/downpipe/cat. I wanted OP to tell me the exact setup. 👌
