Over consumption in the current environment was identified as a factor by leading geologists who indicated that shortfall of oil was estimated to occur potentially as early as 2030 if no coordinating efforts were taken between the major players to mitigate the impact.

Alternative Assessment Benefit Complex Concept Conclusion Conduct Consistent Context Coordination Environment Estimate Factor Function Identified Impact Indicate Investment Major Method Occur Potential Primary Range Significant I don't see why these need to be learned. Anybody with a high school level reading comprehension should know these, let alone an academic environment. But still a great video for those that need to know these. Keep up the good work.

Great! Is there a Part 2? I like this format that helps students brush up on their TOEFL vocabulary. You could also make shorter videos that focus on a single word or a single word family, by giving more context on how the words are used in academic writing.

Thanks so much for your channel. I found you accidentally but you’re already my top favorite instructor. There are a few differences between your channels and others. First of all you’re so to the point and jump right to the topic. You don’t waste any time in the beginning of each video with touchy feely conversations, like many instructors do. Also, in most of the other channels for advance students, you find a mix of intermediate even some basics in the videos. So, for an advanced student, it’s a little waste of time and If you’re not patient enough, you get bored to the point that you get distracted or close the video. On top of teaching the most useful vocabulary and phrases, summarizing your lessons as you’ve done below, for a busy person like me, is absolutely handy and helpful. When there’s no summary, I have to take notes, but most of the times I listen to English lessons while I’m driving or working. So this is another reason I will be loyal to your channel. And finally, I regret I didn’t find you sooner. I wasted a lot of time shopping in other places, but hopefully I’ll catch up soon. Keep up the excellent work 👍

Hi Wes ! First time I’ve watched an old video from you, it’s nice to see the difference between now and then. Make no mistakes, you were good on that one too, the difference is simply you seem more comfortable and confident today then one year ago, we’re all getting better with time and passion in what we do. Let’s talk about the content, as a French native speaker, I can see how much vocabulary similarities we have in those 2 languages. 22 out of 25 are almost the same. Most of the time it’s the same spelling, same meaning and a little difference in the prononciation for sure. Keep it up, you’re helping people to communicate all around the world.

Well, I think that academic vocabulary is not that difficult for those who speak any of the Romance Languages (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, etc.), for almost all of these words come from Latin, so they are relatively easy to be understood by Romance languages native speakers. Maybe the meaning might vary a little bit but in general they keep their original sense. Thank you for this video, because it helps us to realize that all these words actually do exist in English, and we can learn them easily.

I concluded my viewing at the word conclusion, because my assessment of this presentation deemed it to be of a far too elementary nature to be of benefit. This was a fitting reason to seek an alternative video, that I may inculcate a more advanced vocabulary. This segment can be described by an antonym of complex, though conceptually it has the possibility of advancing fifth graders. In conclusion, I'm off to see the wizard. ☺

@InteractiveEng
@InteractiveEng 6 жыл бұрын
😆 You guessed correctly. I think the only real difference is with "estimate" you're always talking about numbers. If I didn't mention that in the lesson, I probably should have. Thanks for these comments because it gives us better ideas on how to improve future lessons by talking about close synonyms and potential differences in usage. 👍

People subscribed to a Russian woman by the name of linguamarina (her video of "50 common English phrases" have 1M views). I am sorry to say that she has tons of mistakes in all of the facets, but people love her despite the fact that she made a whole mess. This guy is way much better than that Russian lady. Enough said, I don't want to post everything here. Watch for a few minutes and you guys will know what I mean. People asks her to teach them more idiom in order to get higher scores in TOFEL. Don't they know that TOFEL doesn't test idiom at all?
