I have tried out the toilet bowl cleaner on cleaning the grout and it does work. I also used it on the shower walls. I had great tenants so ckeaning was not a huge issue since they were very clean. I had a house that I rented out to a family of 4. They lived there for 18yrs and I can honestly say that I never had a problem with their rent. The man was always on time with the rent. His wife took good care of the house and property. They moved out when they bought a house. I was heartbroken to see them go but happy for them. I know not every person that rents out property gets good tenants. I was lucky. I now rent that same house to an elderly couple and one pet. It's very sad when some renters who destroy property by not cleaning and adding junk around the outside or inside the property really mess it up for other people. All I can say to property owners who rent is to be on your toes and always check your properties. It's your most valued investment.

You know when it comes to vacuums we really should raise our voices and ask these companies to make all removable rollers so that we not only can take the hairs off or whatever but wash them for crying out loud! Who wants to go over a rug that they maybe have shampooed or even a floor that they mopped with the same dirt y germ infested brush roll? What's up with all these companies that make these vacuumes ? ? ? ALL VACUUMS SHOULD COME WITH REMOVABLE AND I MEAN EASILY REMOVABLE BRUSH ROLLS !

Remember that to disinfect with alcohol it must be 70% or higher… also it needs to dry on its own so don’t wipe the surface dry or you have simply cleaned it not disinfected it.

Yes! Dwell time! The disinfectant needs time to infiltrate the cell membranes of the little microscopic nasties with which we reluctantly co-exist. The disinfectant makes its way through the other organelles, destroying them, and to the nucleus where the DNA resides. Bye-bye nasty!

I think the rubber glove would work to remove pet hair from fabric without using the stick hairspray - I wouldn't want the residue on the textiles. I wonder if silver polish would be safer for your silverware over the long run. Hairspray also works well on ink-stained fabric, especially if treated quickly and before washing the garment. Magic erasers are also great for removing marks from painted surfaces.

Remember, that if you use Dawn to remove stains, lower the amount of laundry soap you use.
@loristrout4741
@loristrout4741 2 жыл бұрын
Or rinse in the sink after. Before you wash. If you are using regular powdered laundry soaps you can make a paste with water put area of clothing to be soaked in to a bowl and pour the paste and let sit over night wash the next day. Don't dry clothes that have a stain until you check to see it the stain is gone. Use Vinegar in your towels instead of fabric softener. You can even pour some on a clean wash cloth and use it like a dryer sheet. Just keep using the same wash cloth. I have white ones just for that. Colored ones for washing you. Also keeps your washer and dryer from smelling stinky.

Hey, here's a toilet "tip" that might help some people. If you have a toilet/toilet tank that won't stop "sweating" (regardless if the tank is insulated or not) you can get an anti-sweat valve from your local hardware/plumbing store. It has a hot and a cold inlet and a mixed outlet. The temperature of the water can be adjusted, so you don't melt your wax seal.

The only thing I’d use toothpaste for was if I got a pimple. I tried everything u can think of to help with my pimples. DONT PUT DISH SOAP IN YOUR WASHING MACHINE! Rinse it first or you will have suds foaming out the front! There is a good reason the soap for your machines is a low foam soap. A much better way to disinfect your pillows (especially old foam chip ones) is to sew them into new pillow cases and then toss them into the dryer with a scent you like in whatever form you prefer on a high heat for a short period of time ( 10 minutes MAX!). All bacteria and mites etc will be dead. Then hang them outside in the sun for and hour and fluff and beat so the dust and hair etc. will come out. BOOM, like new! Dont use toothpaste on your silver as the toothpaste is actually taking silver OFF!!

I can absolutely confirm not putting laundry soap in the dishwasher. About 25 years ago, my first date with who would be my husband, I invited him to my place for dinner. I ran out of dishwasher soap and had to run it so 19 year old me thought I had a brilliant idea. Oh my, I went to the store to grab a few things for spaghetti ( I should have bought dish soap instead lol) and came home to a very tiny kitchen filled with suds. I was still cleaning when he showed up. It has given us quite a few laughs, and a good lesson over the last 25 years 😂

When I was growing up in the 70's (yep I'm that old) my younger sister ad cousin decided to make the paneling in the bathroom into a canvass. I didn't want my Ma to see it when she got home so I literally tried everything in the cabinet to try and get it off, the toothpaste did the trick. My daughter loses hair at a stupid level I honestly don't know why she isn't bald, I've been taking the scissors and tweezers after my vacuum roller for years. The tweezers help get things out of the very end where your scissors won't reach.

Your own spit will lighten and remove a blood stain if: 1. it's your own blood and 2. it's a small amount. The enzymes in your spit breaks down the blood.

A piece of felt that goes under a chair door? I think you mean a chair leg... 🤣 You also don't need to spray hairspray on a glove to remove pet hair from fabric or furniture. All that does is smear sticky hairspray everywhere... Just use plain water and it works just as well. I usually don't even wet the glove, any of those "yellow" gloves work fine dry. Put a towel between the layers of a t-shirt before you spray or rub anything into a stain, otherwise you're just rubbing the stain from one side of the shirt to the other. Don't use toothpaste on good silver - you could clearly see all of the scratches in that pan left from the toothpaste. Quit being cheap and go buy some silver cleaner, it's not expensive.

FYI rubbing alcohol doesn't work for certain genetic profiles... white vinegar works for O and A blood types. B and AB alcohol and non caffeine used tea bags work too. Different blood types have different pH norms.

You just did a very costly and expensive thing to your tile grout. Your house now will have to be re grouted as the toilet bowl cleaner softened and erodes all your grout. Sorry!

If you can afford it, call the carpet cleaning professionals or go rent the machine at Lowe’s or Home Depot and clean your tile floors just as you would your carpet! Or do your carpet and your tile floors too!😊. Anyway, your grout will come out looking like new again and your floors will be super clean!!! More bang for your buck‼️💲

Though I swear by Dawn Spray, Awesome cleaner or just bleach, I cleaned the tub for an elderly man who hadn't done so in years. I was prepared to scrape soap scum with a straight razor but was pleasantly surprised by this hack- The Works toilet rim cleaning gel for hard water deposits. It started foaming & dissolving build up instantly! It even took off rust stains. The only thing is that it turns the silver drain to a shade of pewter, which honestly looked less cheap if you ask me. For super tough jobs like a Sharpie marker on a toy doll I use carburator cleaner, just patch test first.

I have always been told to take a dry erase marker and go over the sharpie marks and it will remove the ink when wiped away. Give it a try. I e done it on hard surfaces, but not on fabrics.

A clean dishwashing glove is all you need., Hairspray is not necessary. Once you feel the glove begins to maybe get a little Dusty., Just rinse the glove underwater., dry it so it'll get that tacky & rubbery feel again and continue on.

I saw a cleaning hint elsewhere that suggested using a squeegee that has that plastic or rubber edge (to clean off windows or glass). It works very well on short pile items, as long as you can maintain a certain fabric tension as you drag it across. I've used it very successfully on carpet and rugs to lift up and kind of "roll up" animal fur.

Wont rinsing all that hair & dust down the drain cause clogs??
@Kayenne54
@Kayenne54 2 жыл бұрын
@@briannab5296 You could always wipe off the glove with a brush into the rubbish bin. That's what I did with the squeegee method, or just collected it up and threw it into the bin; or used the dustpan and brush if there was a little pile of it. One of my sinks has a plug drainer. So not too much would go down anyway if I did the rinse method.
@wiseforce7045

@@briannab5296 The thing is you don't rinse the hair on the gloves down the drain.... What I do is rub the gloves together until the hairs becomes a little ball and it all comes together ( it gets a little static after doing that but you figure out a good way to get it off like using a small piece of paper to pick off the gloves., After that I use a lint roller to pick up the rest of the little hairs on the gloves and after that.., thats when you rinse off the rest of the little left behind small particles of dust and get it tacky again., Whala ! Maybe I'll make a video.

The Dawn Power wash is great for stains! Rubber gloves alone will remove pet hair. Instead of toothpaste, use a baking soda paste for most of what you use the toothpaste for. I don't mean to critique this video, but its all common sense which, I know is very much lacking these days. Sometimes I get a lot from watching these, sometimes not. Blessings to all 🥰

My 2 favorite bathroom cleaning hacks...shaving cream will get rid of urine smells around the base of the toilet and blue Dawn and a clean broom are fantastic for cleaning a fiberglass tub if you can't get on your knees to scrub (rinse thoroughly)
