It's quite curious how Arnie's accent actually helped to give Conan a good vibe, maybe because as a barbarian he is supposed to be a foreigner in civilized land, in that way he enforces his image as an outsider from untamed countries.

And considering he spent most of his adolescence and teen years pushing a milling wheel without socially interacting with anybody, it fits that he would not have developed strong verbal ability and perhaps a bit of an accent. He didn't even learn to read until he was proven a good moneymaker in the fight pit.

Hell no. They destroyed the brilliance of the original stories. This is not even conan.. it's a sword and sorcery movie who stole someones genius and rode mediocrity on its back. Barf... we need a real conan film one day

@@ge0metr1xx And that's why, if you get a choice, always watch the movie and enjoy its simple short burst of entertainment BEFORE reading the source material. Then the source material will just seem like a completely different thing to be enjoyed differently. Read the source first and you will look forward to a movie based on it, which pretty much never happens 100% and so leaves you angry.

One scene near the end of the second movie actually made it good. The princess is giving all of them jobs but them she says to Conan "Ru;e Shalazar with me" He tells her he will have his own kingdom. She doesn't act like a brat or plead with him, she just kisses him gently and watches him go. She had grown us on the mission.

Arnold's Conan is awesome he's loaded with muscle just like a Frank Frazzetta Conan. The new Conan needs more muscle he was like the Barry Smith Conan.
