I am glad I am not the only one that has looked at the dried paint on top of my paint tubes and ended up sticking it on a journal page. I also like trying things just to see what happens and I really enjoy watching your "happy accidents".

I know this video is years old, but I just came across it today. I have to say, this is the most inspirational video I have ever seen. You give me confidence to try new things. Starting a project is the hardest part for me. I can't have a full completed idea or project in my head, I have to start small and let the art grow as I'm doing it. Thank you so much for this video!!

I use egg shells for texture as well, it is best to remove the membrane from the shell first before you crush it to prevent bacteria growth and possible smell from developing. I also found during the holidays, dollar stores and craft stores sell styrofoam mini balls. This is an awesome substitute for mini pebbles. Love your videos! This one really helps with reminding us, the viewers/students/fans, how to step out of our heads and create. 💁🏼🤓😘

Not feeling too well today, but I just spent a wonderful and delightful hour with you. You shared such good ideas for textures and projects. You have a very creative mind and so much talent. I, also, love how you talk to us like a friend. Thank you very much for sharing yourself and your talents so freely. I had a lot of "great idea!!!" moments. I think my favorites were the tea bags, and the corrugated cardboard with the paint 'splots' and flowers. Also, the sesame seeds blew me away. Excellent, excellent, excellent! TFS

Im sooooo in love with texture. I really loved this. I found something that I started using for texture, it's actually dryer sheets. Particularly a brand we have here in the US called Seventh Generation. It is the most amazing thing ever. When I discovered how wonderful they are for texture I had to go digging in my laundry rubbish can (just for dryer lint and sheets, lol) and find all the ones that I threw out!! They are all natural, so they are an unbleached piece of paper that is just wonderful with a bumpy texture on it. Anyway, thanks again! I will try most of these, especially the tea bags and the coffee and white paint! So lovely! xoxo Kerrie

Oh my! THANK YOU SO MUCH Marta. Yes, I've been missing your long videos, so this IS a treat ♡. Where to start, so many thoughts....Henio was quiet because he was listening to your beautiful voice ;-) As you were playing with the sesame seeds, I thought about using rice, oatmeal, beans, split peas, spaghetti, buttons, or sequins for other textures. I was also thinking you could premix thing into the paste, then apply it. And for colorful things that you wish to keep color showing, coat with clear gesso! Anyway, my biggest thanks is because you have now sparked my IMAGINATION - word for the week on 52 Cafe challenge...because my imagination was absolutely GONE, but you have sparked it up again! I love you! Thanks so much for your time, help, tutorials, love, and friendship. You are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Love it! A great companion to the previous texture video. I use all sorts of recycled stuff and things not designed for art, too. Poultry grit makes great texture (crushed up seashells), plastic chicken packaging etc. Fun to melt plastics too, and use them, and ironed bubble wrap is great. Actually you are right, there is no limit to what you can use. Only your imagination limits you! Thanks for all the inspiration. Shoshi
