With over 30 years of content, the world of The Simpsons has SO MUCH to go through. As timelines get crazy, plots get crazier, and we see into the family even more -- we realize one thing -- there are a TON of theories about the famous yellow family.
Like many shows, you can find theories about time travel, comas, and dream episodes. These ones mainly focus on Homer’s crazy world and his conversations with God. Does The Simpsons actually connect with a Nickelodeon show?! We’ve seen it connect with shows like Family Guy and Futurama -- so this one doesn’t sound too far fetched. One of the biggest Simpsons mysteries involved the shooting of Mr. Burns, but what if Maggie didn’t do it all along?! Was it Marge Simpson who actually shot Mr. Burns?! Actually, the Barney/Nelson theory is wrong because in another episode we see that Barney was actually a super-smart person before homer ruined his life by giving him an alcoholic drink.

Actually, Nelsons dad is proven to be Eddie Muntz. He never intended to leave his family and actually went for a pack of cigars. He bought a chocolate bar too, not realizing it had peanuts in it. he had a reaction to it and looked hideous and was too deformed to talk. He was taken away by a carny for a freak show and the patrons threw peanuts at him, making him unable to heal. He came back to them fine BUT the chances of his story being true are very low as in episode "22 For 30", He abandoned them once again, this time by skipping town. (Edit : Eddie Muntz has anaphylaxis)

More on bart being a genius. Going off of just the golden years (season 1-8), He's a polyglot know english, Cantonese (see bart on the road) and french (see the grapes of wrath), he's an award winning writer (see the front), a skilled detective (see bart the fink and every sideshow bob episode), and he can put together complicated schemes and if he focuses, he can even academically succeed (see bart gets an F and Whacking Day).

@C J Bart has ADHD and can't focus properly and that is why he acts the way he does and can't concentrate. He also learned fluent Spanish on the plane flight to Brazil the family went on to look for the lost boy that Lisa was writing to, he also has foiled Side Show Bob often and proved Whacking day was an excuse to beat up the Irish and saved the snakes .However, in the episode "Lisa the Simpson" it is shown that Simpson men have a gene that makes them less smart as time goes on. Also it was a Major League Baseball satellite that Bart shot down.

When they talk about Bart dying at 3:18 that screenshot was from an early episode of the Simpson’s when Bart was getting terrorized by Nelson. The thing in his head is a cupcake that had been shown throughout the episode. I didn’t even the know about the lost episode theory but this is definitely not the right screenshot.

Homer actually has his job because he does care about safety, at the beginning he cared so much that Mr Burns had to rehire him to get him to shut up about the plant, Homer was actually leading a successful protest against Burns to the point where nobody wanted to work unless Homer deemed it safe again

Thing with the Steamed Hams one is, it is implied Skinnder purposely gave him the wrong directions. Maybe it's more likely, Chalmers called him repeatedly to get better directions, and while doing this he forgot the roast? The Marge is the Shooter-Theory is pretty much impossible, seeing as we see her in plain view, as the shot was heard, and Burns was moving away from the scene of the incident, but in her direction after the shot

Watch TheRealJims series. Remember, there is another gunshot that night. Smithers shot Jasper. Also look at the where the car is parked in comparison to where Marge is standing. Do you believe that a man Mr. Burns age, nursing a gunshot wound could stumble from the back of the carpark, to the front of City Hall, in a matter of seconds? Usain Bolt would struggle to run that far in about 3 seconds, let alone stumble with a bullet in his chest.

Its possible that The Simpons are in Oregon. In Portland, there are streets named Flanders, Kearny, Lovejoy, Quimby, Burnside. There's also Montgomery Park, the Terwilliger Curves, and Van Houten Avenue. Matt Groening was also born in Portland, Oregon.

That footage of Bart in a casket is from the first season. Remember the episode where Bart was getting beat up by Nelson? The casket was from a dream sequence Bart had where he actually got killed. It was later removed from the episode. I remember because when I was little, we used to tape The Simpsons, and I saw that episode several times.

The picture of Bart in a coffin comes from the first season's fifth episode "Bart The General" where Bart imagine himself as dead because he's being repeatedly beaten up by Nelson until he gets the help of Abe Simpsons and Herman (the guy with one arm) to build an "army" of kids that ends up throwing a bunch of water balloons at Nelson.

The dead Bart with a muffin on his head is from one of the first episodes I don't remember which one but. Lisa baked muffins for her teachers and Bart kept trying to take one and Lisa wouldn't give him one and then when she let him have one Nelson took it and crushed the whole box. That episode Bart got bullied a lot by Nelson and got scared and that is one of the things bart thought would happen. (Dying and Nelson took the muffin off of his head or put it on his head. I explaimed that really badly but I think you get the picture

We are talking about a show that spanned over 30 years. If the producers want the show to keep going, they won’t make the characters age. Although I think it would be ok to make Bart and Lisa grow 1 or 2 years. Would adjust better to their personas (their late episode’s personas).

I don’t think Bart’s gay. In most of the hypothetical futures of his that we’ve seen, he has either a girlfriend or an ex-wife, and none of the other futures really hint at it one way or the other. The same goes for Nelson, for that matter. I think that “Brokeback Mountain” parody was just making comedic comparisons between being the good girl/bad boy trope and falling in with the wrong crowd.

The Simpsons is based in Oregon Springfield Oregon a lot of the names of characters were pulled from street signs in Portland Matt groening himself has even confirmed that it's supposed to take place in Oregon when they shut down a nuclear power plant close to Vancouver

For number 3: the Simpons do age. There are 639 episodes of the Simpsons, each one about 22 minutes long. That's 14058 minutes, 234.3 hours, about 10 days. The Simpsons have aged 10 days.

Have you ever heard of the words "context" or "proportions", I understand what you are getting at with this but the statement at the end is largely untrue based on what the questions "do the Simpsons age" and "how much have they aged" actually mean. Your statement answers a different question of how long it would take to watch the entire series, the total quantity of time observable in all of the different simpsons episodes has nothing to do with age. Age depends on the measurement of time in the context of that world or universe and the observable effects of time on the individual in question, whether it be with a tree's rings increasing or a person's hair changing to gray. To be clearer, if the subjects of a show are "immune to aging" then they are unable to age, if the show lasted for 20 years they still wouldn't age its just that the world around them ages and their time of existence increases as time passes. And again, the age of something doesn't equal it's time of existence, age is based on comparison even if you are comparing one time to another time. Age can only be accurately analyzed or determined when you are comparing something to something else that follows the same natural laws or that is in the same universe/world with properties that can help determine relationships

@@adamk103 Kind of, but that's not really the best way to put it, they've shown short clips within a timespan of about 35 years and adding up the actual lengths of all of those clips (or episodes) results in about 10 days of watchable content, these 10 days of content include about 32 "22 minute" episodes related to Christmas. The idea of them having 32 Christmases in 10 days doesn't really make much sense because Christmas is a holiday that occurs once per year on one day, so it lasts 24 hours. They had 32 Christmases throughout the series, so if the Simpsons had aged "10 days" that would mean 768 hours of time (this 768 hours being made up of time from only Christmas holidays) had passed within 240 hours, this would make no sense because you are unable to change the rate at which you are experiencing time unless you are moving at extremely high and unrealistic speeds like in a spaceship. This is why we use proportions relating to the context of the situation, because it allows us to accurately analyze it and make claims that are easier for people to understand and that are less prone to skepticism due to the linking of evidence to the claim.

There are many episodes from the first 10-15 years that have been edited from the original airing to what what we see now. I suspect it is a combination of content editing and the need to shorten run time due to the increase of commercial air time. Hopefully the original full content master copies still exist and will someday be made available to the public.

At 3:20, this is from an actual episode, I believe it's "Bart of the General" in season 2. Bart is getting bullied by Nelson so much that he envisions himself dead and when his family would say at the funeral.

I’m suddenly hoping that Homer in a coma theory is true or the writers decide to go with it. They could bring Homer back to his old (younger) self when he was a better person. Back when the show was more down to earth and had the family facing real and normal problems and situations. Homer could wake up after a year or two and remember the events of his life in his coma world. All of the ups and downs. The good things he did and also the bad. And learn from the bad events and mistakes he made and become a better person. Throughout the episode it could show the subtle ways Springfield and its citizens changed in the year or two he was in the coma. Then in the final scene, Homer could give his family a brief description of the key details from his coma world and how they’ve affected him, and then vow to make his second time going through those years better. Close the show on a heartwarming note. And then maybe during the credits show photos that were taken throughout the now real world life of the Simpson family showing big moments spanning across many years and leave us fans with a feel good ending we can be happy with. I know that sounds deep for The Simpsons but as die hard lifelong fans will remember The Simpsons used to be deep in its early seasons. I know that was with different writers but I feel like if the tried the current writers could recapture that classic Simpsons feel.
